Only 10% think plan will bring peace

Only 10% of Israelis are optimistic that US President Donald Trump’s new “Deal of the Century” diplomatic plan will bring about peace between Israelis and Palestinians, a Kantar poll taken for KAN found on Wednesday.
The poll found that 61% of the 553 respondents, representing a statistical sample of the Israeli population, did not believe the plan would lead to peace, and 29% said they did not know.

  1. It's all about the process. If it actually ended, all those diplomats would be out of a job. As long as it goes on they get to travel, stay in nice hotels and eat in fancy restaurants. There's no incentive to actually reach a deal!

  2. No deals have brought peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis - since neither side will compromise on their own position enough to satisfy the other.
Clinton, Bush, Rabin, Peres, barak, Wye etc, none of these deals worked, and neither will this.

This is just a warnign to the Palestinians that time is running out, and they will lose even more territory next time.

  3. ...get to be on TV, get to give lectures at universities, get to be professors at universities when their patrons in government are out of power, get book deals, and maybe most importantly, get to feel massively superior to the parties they are trying to strike a deal with.

  4. Bernie wins he may cut off aid to the State of Israel. At the least, he probably won't be interested in what the billionaires at AIPAC think.
