“Someone should have raised a red flag and pointed out that AP is an American news agency, and that an attack like this is not going to go by quietly.”
It is true, if you attack the media they will be biased against you. But they were biased from the beginning.
ReplyDeleteCan't allow Hamas to kill more people so we get better pr.
The rashaim Moshe Dayan and Golda Meir did this before the you kippur war, to get more sympathy from America and draw Egypt into peace. With the help of rasha Henry Kissinger who reportedly told Egypt to attack.
sources?

ReplyDeleteConor cruise O'Brien makes the allegation against Kissinger in this book.
There was an Israeli news report about the murder of Joe Allon , who was israeli military attache in Washington. There, a witness tells of how Moshe Dayan ordered him to de-mine the border with Egypt before the yom kippur War.

ReplyDeleteA perfectly placed attack
ReplyDeletecrackpot conspiracy theory!
ReplyDeletemore nonsense and conspiracy theories based on his wife's conjecture
ReplyDeleteseems your sources of information are nonsense. Nobody but crackpots take them seriously
ReplyDeletethe claims I made did not concern the murder of Joe Alon, but the testimony in that documentary that a) The IDF had given orders to deactivate the minefields on the Israeli side of the Egyptian border, and b) the opinion that Dayan and Kissinger had colluded with Egypt to stage a war , with the purpose of reaching a peace deal.
ReplyDeleteThe Diplomat and writer, Conor Cruise O'brien also had the same theory about Kissinger, which he arrived at independently of the people in this documentary.
So it is hard to claim that O'brien was a "crackpot" he was a very intelligent, highly respected intellectual and diplomat.
One can dispute what they say, but that does not make them crackpots.
I suppose you'd say the same about rav Moshe de Lion's wife and her conjecture
ReplyDeleteThey are not crackpots, they are witnesses to actions or documents. Why are tgey invalid, do they race pigeons?
ReplyDeletethe whole thing is conjecture !
ReplyDeleteNobody of significance actually claims what is being asserted
Wow!
ReplyDeleteThis is your fallback position when a crackpot theory is rejected?
He was crackpot!
ReplyDeleteReally, what makes you say that?
ReplyDeleteNo , it was a joke .
ReplyDeleteMelman From. Haaretz is a crackpot.
ReplyDeleteIn these areas of military intelligence, there is no hard evidence for resolving matters.
This is one school of thought.
Is it cited in any recognized history? Why not?
ReplyDeleteBecause it is a crackpot theory and is not considered one school of thought!
more crackpot assertions!
ReplyDeletewhat statements?
ReplyDeleteNone of the significant players have made the accusations which you are gleefully stating as "one school of thought" nor are they cited in authoritative histories of the period!
Perfect attack. What's the AP going to do? Lie and report half-truths as facts? They already do! Oooooo, the AP is mad and is going to provide negative coverage of Israel. In Israel, they call that business as usual.
ReplyDeleteIn halacha, you can muster rav Moshe or rav Shternbuch to belittle people like krauss or rackman.
ReplyDeleteI don't think there is an authority in military and political history, nor are we under any pressure to accept gedolim. O'Brien was a gadol in this field himself , not a crackpot. But it is not a science or halacha, it is deciphering political and military errors.
Nope! Try harder. He is a crackpot and his assertions are viewed as crackpot despite your wishing they were true
