Although within the same group, you could have chilukei deot, whatever the reason might be you could still have an eli voeli divrei elokim chayim. Amongst the chavrei Ha"Bdatz, et vohav besufo still applies. Those that push their noses where they don't belong and spew divrei bela umevaze gadol BeYisrael, have another sof vesufo waiting for them. Vehevei zahir begachlatan shelo tikave, veD'al!

  4. GUYS, this has NOTHING TO DO WITH KEVARIM.
The modus operando of this group which is funded from Bklyn askanim is to spew havoc in Israel and diminish in the eyes of Frum Torah Yidden in the world the evilness, destructive spirit of the State of Israel. Torah is not what these kanoim are defending!!!

  5. Would the letters of support from Gedolei Torah even make an impression on the zealots?

  6. It is not the first time Weiss and Sternbuch have a disagreement. Few years back Rabbi Weiss supported rabbi Leib Tropper (AKA Tropper the Shtuper) while rabbi Sternbuch opposed him and we all know who was right in the end.

    1. it is interesting - perhaps the role of a BD vs. Oskim could be elaborated - if poskim disagree, that is normal, but what happens in a BD?

  7. A BD always consists of 3/23/71, or any odd number, therefore, achrei rabim lehatos.

    1. so that does not apply to individual poskim? (eg one in USA, one in Bnei Brak, 1 in london etc)

  8. I'm so glad these high-profile rabbinic leaders found the time in their busy schedules to speak out against the physical attacks against other rabbis. Too bad these folks were unable to muster the courage, time, or effort to speak up when these same people were attacking little school kids! This sure isn't leadership!

    1. Contrary to your (hand fed) preconceived notions, whatever abberent behavior occured, the fault lay on the mizrachi side for putting the school there to begin with, right in residents`faces.
Then the media, anti religious and (small)seruga wearers together fanned the inevitable flames (even candidly saying the children were pawns`)

But surely this is all par for the course and obvious already..

    2. Ye! Where's their brains?! Don't they care about children, putting them in the lions face!!!

    3. Quite evident OBSERVER that you have never been to Bet Shemesh and to the place of the orot school that you speak about. A large Dati community called Sheinfeld (which lived in Bet Shemesh years years years before any Ultra CHaredi group arrived)obtained legally & through the city a plot of land to build Communities boys and girls schools (separate), this is the plot that then a Chassidish community moved around the corner from.

As has been reported all rabbis except Rav Weiss, the grand head of the EDAH has signed letters against the protestors. IT is a money-funded project of hatred against Israel and has zero to do with kavod of kevarim.

    4. Sima ir hakodesh - If even some of the (chareidi) rabbis had signed the letter of protest I would have been somewhat heartened. (I lived right there in the epicenter of the conflagration.) Not a single eda-affiliated rabbi or chassidish rabbi said a single word to protest the chareidi violence, and not a single one of them signed a letter protesting the chareidi violence.

  9. The school was on the Mizrachi side of the street, in any case there is nothing that Mizrachi have done that justify those behemos spitting on eight years old girl and call her 'whore' and 'slut'

  10. According to HaRav Ovadia Yosef, as quoted here recently, it does not apply. But then again in cases of individual poskim, you could think of it as Doctors opinions, those proven to be great experts within their fields having a long proven track record, bears weight.
