More "alternative facts" : Trump adviser cites non-existent 'massacre' defending ban

Kellyanne Conway seems to be confused. On Thursday night the Trump adviser appeared in a TV interview and made a statement that pricked the ears of fact-checkers everywhere.

She told MSNBC's Chris Matthews:
"I bet it's brand new information to people that President Obama had a 6-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre. It didn't get covered."
First of all, Obama didn't ban the Iraqi refugee program.

Second, there's no such thing as the Bowling Green massacre.

Conway could have been referencing two Iraqis -- Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohanad Shareef Hammadi -- who lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Both were granted refugee status and entered the United States in 2009.

They were arrested in May 2011 on a series of terrorism charges and were sentenced two years later after pleading guilty.

The two men were never planning on committing an act of terrorism on US soil. Instead, they were trying to help get weapons to al Qaeda in Iraq. They were terrorists who should not have been allowed in the country, but they weren't planning an attack in the United States. And they didn't kill anyone in Bowling Green (or anywhere else in the US).[...]

An indictment released at the time said the United States was able to locate Alwan's fingerprints on an IED and on the base of a cordless phone used in an attack near Bayji, Iraq in the early 2000s. That the vetting process didn't work and that these men were allowed into the country highlighted serious flaws in the refugee resettlement system and led to reforms of the vetting process.

As a result, Obama ordered that 57,000-58,000 Iraqi refugees recently allowed into the country be revetted, causing a massive backlog. So, while there was no specific 'ban' on Iraqi refugees coming into the country, there was a delay in allowing anymore in. [...]

  1. Close is good enough with hand grenades, horse shoes, and some Trum Administration statements.

  2. Carolyn Glick proves that Trump is the best friend that Israel and the anti Jihad world have had in a long time

  3. Here is an article about voter fraud. Please consider posting this, to provide balance to the articles that implied that voter fraud is a myth.

  4. Prof. Kevin MacDonald gives a more objective analysis, and comes to the same conclusion, but with a caveat or two:

  5. While that article certainly is troubling, and work is needed to shore up the system, it has nothing to do with what Trump is claiming. This is like when investigators sneak weapons past TSA agents. That does not mean that airplanes were hijacked, just that the TSA needs better procedures. Trump made a specific claim, that 3 million plus fraudulent votes were cast for Clinton. Beside for the fact that it would be remarkably dumb for these brilliant conspirators to have all those votes cast in California and New York, where she was going to win in any case, there is no evidence supporting his claim. And after the noise he made about appointing people to investigate voter fraud, he seems to have forgotten about that. Perhaps he realized that he would rather not know the truth, and remain with his alternative facts.

  6. What is your point?

This shows that Trump's statement that there were millions of votes cast illegally for Clinton is true?!
Trump's lawyers claimed there was no serious voter fraud when trying to stop the Stein recount.
Trump claimed before the election that unless he won it was proof of illegal voting. But since he won there wasn't illegal voting. However in spite of that there was 3 million illegal votes for Clinton. This is supposed to be an intelligent rational man?!

The article makes no mention of proof that actual fraud took place - but only that it might have. Thus if it did take place then it might have been predominately Trump supporters who voted illegally.

You can't go from a possibility of fraud to Trump's position.
You can't go from Trump's claim there there was no significant voter fraud and at the same time claim there was 3 million illegal votes.

Trump is not concerned finding the truth - he is only concerned with controlling what people think is true and that is primarily erasing anything which doesn't build his ego

Bottom line - let's have a recount and risk the possibility that Trump actually lost the election. Trump will never allow that to happen.

  7. "Trump is not concerned finding the truth..."

Anyone concerned with finding the truth will not become President of the United States today. Or so it seems to me. The system of democracy here practically invites skilled liers like Pres. William Clinton and Pres. Donald Trump to run. This blog, I think, would better serve the public by attacking the system of democracy in the U.S., as opposed to attacking those who game the system.

  8. Do you have a better system in mind?

  9. The Occidental Observer is an American far-right online publication that covers politics and society from a white nationalist and antisemitic perspective. Its mission statement is to "present original content touching on the themes of white identity, white interests, and the culture of the West." The publication was founded because, "overt expressions of white identity and white interests (or European-American identity and interests) are rarely found among the peoples who founded these societies and who continue to make up the majority."[2] It is run by the Charles Martel Society.[3][4]
Kevin B. MacDonald, the retired American professor of psychology at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), is the editor of the publication.[2] MacDonald is best known for his use of evolutionary theory to analyze Judaism as a "group evolutionary strategy".[5]

  10. I do. And I have others who think it's a good system. And I'm working on implementing it.

  11. The article presents an objective and clear analysis why "white" nationalists MUST support the Israeli-right, and use this alleged support of a jewish cause as "moral cover" to advance their interests. He explains therefore that Trump's "movement", with its anti-immigration, anti-islam and pro-Israeli-right policies is a necessary and effective vehicle to advance "white" nationalism.

It is a much better article than the misleading propaganda of Carolyn Glick.

  12. Let me know when the revolution stats.

  13. The humor in your reply was drier than the Eighteenth Amendment.

But seriously, if you really care, then email me your contact info.

    My address is

  14. There was a recount in several states.

My point is that the very fiber of democracy, that the citizens elect their political representatives, has been under attack for quite some time. This is part of the reason we have a President Trump. Unless this is tackled correctly, it will continue to be either whacky leftists or people similar to Trump who will be in power.

In fact, when the media and politicians becomes all sanctimonious about WORDS that someone used, but they don't care and they even cover up real voting fraud, they are guaranteeing more Trump-types in power. Making fantastical claims that irrelevant words affect the integrity of elections, but that real fraud, and admitted potential for it is somehow less worthy of discussion, is part of why the democratic party lost about 900 seats through all levels of government, during the past 6 years.

And about the popular vote - what relevance does it have? The rules that this country has makes it moot. Why are we focusing on words in lieu of actual facts? Fact: The president of the USA is Donald Trump. Are all these attacks intended on fooling people into thinking otherwise? Is it any different than over 30 media personalities comparing President GW Bush to Hitler?

  15. But Trump is corrupt also! You are saying you prefer a loud mouth liar, incompetent and corrupt President than a quiet and sneaky corrupt but competent President.

  16. Actually, the good leftists were the ones who were RIOTING while screaming "popular vote"! The entire issue was started by the crazy leftists. They even used it as an excuse to bring out one of their preferred weapons - violence.

I prefer that the violent, fraudulent and illegal leftists don't get their way. I prefer a Supreme Court justice that will not turn the SC into another way for the left to impose their will on this country. But most importantly, I support something that will prevent the crazy leftists of winning in their schemes. Sarah Palin was destroyed for no good reason. Every decent conservative candidate is continuously unjustifiably destroyed. Then there is fraud. I think that in the big picture, that is a lot worse than a President Trump, who will reverse some of the leftists gains, and will certainly stop their ascent.

  17. Trump insists on playing a field that he defines and controls. He is not interested in observable facts. Dont' understand why you are so comfortable with Trump. Your constant pointing to the"evil leftists" does not justify his behavior or his program or his attempts to destroy democracy

  18. You are really trying to get a lot of mileage out of protests, the vast majority of which were not violent, which lasted about a week, and which ended over two months ago. But if that is all you have to hang your hat on, I guess that will have to do.

  19. He was elected by the people.

I don't understand why you are so comfortable with fraud, rioting and methods of the leftists which has destroyed democracy. Trump is an outgrowth of their actions.

  20. Once again Yehoshua running away from the truth and trying totuen it on it's head. That's whyI don't debate you.

  21. you are correct - Trump is taking the negative aspects of the leftists and is cultivating and enlarging them in the name of the conservatives. Actually he has no ideological basis or values - he is only interested in power and control.

So I don't understand why if the leftists were trief and Trump is building on that - why you find nothing wrong with it. Your only excuse is that it is Trump doing it so that makes it ok.

Do you value Democracy? Do you value individual rights? Does truth have a special place in your value system? So why are you defending someone who is going against these things solely with the justification that he is a logical extension of the evil of the left?!

There is a difference between understanding something and accepting it. Why are you accepting it?

  22. You have chosen not to understand what I wrote. Why can't you understand that it is not about Trump? Trump, with all his imperfection, is the man who is still standing, so the rally is around him. You keep on ignoring actual laws and issues that most Americans support or oppose, and you are turning into a personality thing. Obama was elected because of his persona and personality, despite the actual laws and he polices he advanced. The result was a 1,000+ loss of legislators for his party. Trump's persona and personality is what allowed him to fight off the actual, very real voter fraud, fake news etc and be the last man standing. As the last man standing, his POLICIES and LAWS are supported despite his personality.

You can choose to ignore all the very real rioting; but this rioting will only guarantee that we have more of Trump. You can ignore and deny the media's bias, but this will guarantee that we will have more of Trump.

  23. What an odd comment. What use is there supporting his "POLICIES and LAWS", if his weak personality will hinder him and his administration from implementing them? I am surprised that you minimize the role of "personality" in effective leadership when the Torah and our sages emphasize it.

  24. 1: There was no "very real voter fraud," and there has not been one iota of evidence to the contrary.
2: The "fake news" during the campaign was predominantly anti-Clinton, so I have no idea what you are referring to there.
3: You keep on talking about this "rioting." Could you please clarify what you are referring to? I have not seen any rioting in months.

  25. What do you know about Trump that other conservatives do not? Why are you so fanatically loyal to him and trust him, when other conservatives are cautious at best and terrified at worst?

    For example:

    And this one:

    Or this one:

    or this one:

  26. The real irony of all this is that the GOP (no, not Trump) likely succeeded in stealing both MI & WI this last election. Not the first attempt at this, but their first real success. See here -

There is a study published by the Tea Party that, believe it or not, does actually defensibly set out the havamina that Virginia may have gone to Clinton due to illegal aliens feloniously registering & voting in Fairfax Cty. See esp. pp.14-16.

But both the above -- esp. the second -- rely on coupling speculation with the evidence. And the second clearly overstates things in drawing a bald analogy between the eight counties it purports to report on & the rest of the country. (This ignores the fact that the Tea Party study torpedoes its own credibility -- that is, even discounting the agenda of its authorship -- by quickly accusing the Virginia State government of a coverup. The State's reticience to publish its research accusing people by name of a felony, for which those named remain unconvicted by a court of law, is hardly stuff to scratch one's head over, so I think you get the idea of the report's general tenor. And I discount as well the spare but telling moments that its nativist tone escapes off the page. For example, its title reads, "Alien Invasion in Virginia" -- LOL.)
