Covid-19 outbreak: Health Ministry orders even those already vaccinate to isolate
The so-called Indian mutation is known to be partially resistant to
coronavirus vaccines currently in use. According to a report from Reuters,
antibodies in blood from people who received both doses of the Pfizer
vaccine were found to be between three and six times less potent against
the Indian mutation than against other common variants, including the
"South African" mutation, according to a report posted on the website bioRxiv.

So more information is needed. If the vaccine is less effective against the Indian mutation, how less effective is it? Does it still cause serious illness or is there just a chance of infection with minimal or mild symptoms?
ReplyDeleteWhy would someone (vaccinated) NOT isolate if they tested positive for the virus? In other news the sky is blue.
