R Amnon Yitzchok:Rav Steinman gave me iPhone heter

bhol. english      How is it that he who shattered the iPhones, Rabbi Amnon Yitzhak, is himself using the device? • He has an original explanation: "Rabbi Aharon Leib Steinman has allowed me to use the iPhone for Teshuva work"

Shofar website, run by Rabbi Amnon's men released an answer this week:
"Highlights! To remove an obstacle and tongue wagging," said the headline.

"Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak Shlita is against iPhones and similar devices. Fools have asked how Rabbi Amnon Yitzhak has an iPhone?

"Rabbi Aharon Leib Steinman personally allowed (the questions asked in this regard by Rabbi Yehuda Leibowitz, shlita), the rabbi and his team to use iPhones for the sake of his Teshuva work."

The end reads: "And anyone doubting his Rabbi is considered doubting the shechina and doubting the righteous…"

  1. Who takes Amnon Itzhak seriously??? He sells Brachot for 1000 $... He asks people to destroy their TV sets... He appears to his talks in a Lamborthini... Who would believe that a person like that has even an ounce of seriousness or sincerity???

  2. In one word, a "joke".
This whole smartphone business is a fallacy, and now evidently a hypocritical one.
Rabbis have no right to impose made up laws on Am Yisrael, and this exposes their own hypocrisy.

If the Rabbis, especially my Sephardic co-ethnicists, were really opposed to mamash idolatry, they would ban human figurines like the hand of Fathima, an arabic pagan symbol which has now become not only rife amongst sephardim, bu amongst so-called kabbalists, despite the Torah and Rambam outright forbidding figurines of human body or its parts.

  3. @ Brad, you are correct in principle, although, unfortunately, many people do take him seriously. Despite his false predictions for Messiah's coming having failed.

in other words, I, Amnon Itzhak, am G-d....

One more reason not to take him seriously...

  5. Who is telling lies about the holy tzadik ? he does not have a Lamborghini, he has a humble BMW 7 Series (760li) which he purchased last year replacing its aging Audi 6 car. Not sure if the car has CD player but it does come with Iphone holder.

The Yemenite Ba'al Teshuva Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak has a new car

  6. Be careful of BT rabbis like Tropper and Yitzchak, and be very suspicious of their students, someone who became BT under Tropper for example, we do not know what he kind of torah he learned from him and rabbis who have former talmidim of Tropper in their community should be watching them carefully.

  7. Eddie, re: the hand of Fathima and idolatry - How do you explain the fact that the Rambam expounded such profound principles of Torah monotheism in his Moreh Nevuchim sefer, yet that sefer and its deep monotheistic principles are being largely ignored by certain Ashkenazim and Sephardim?

"... the Mano Pantea (or Hand-of-the-All-Goddess), an amulet known to ancient Egyptians as the Two Fingers. In this amulet, the Two Fingers represent Isis and Osiris and the thumb, their child Horus ... "

    1. @ Emes, sorry, not sure i understand your question.
the Torah itself commands us not to have any forms of human or anything on the earth, sky, or water. yet suddenly a hand is permissible? It is totally nuts!

  8. Brad... R a yitzok does not sell blessings
Perhaps u mistake him for the milkman, batzri, ifergin etc

    1. I was there. I saw it my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. He had a public assembly, towards the middle he said "give 1000 CHF, I give you a bracha". One person stood up and said "I want a bracha for less than 1000 CHF", they discussed for a while, Amnon Yitzhak would not five it!!!!
