Garnel where are You?

The world has become overwhelmed with a Pandemic 0f Trump Derangement Syndrome. Obviously you would claim caused by Obama and Biden. Even Fox News, NYPost,Yated and MAGA have caught it. The average Israeli  views him with contempt. Trump is being portrayed not as the defender of Israel but as the strongest champion of Iran. Garnel you have attacked me for months for being critical of Trump. Where are you now when the whole world has turned against him this self proclaimed Defender of the World?

It doeesn't matter what the deal is. The media and the Democrats prepared the headlines when the war started.

  1. One of the arguments was that trump is corrupt but even so he also does good things. And this was not just Garnel but Bibi was praising trump as Israel's greatest friend.

  2. All the bombs that America dropped on Iran were good and the sinking of their navy was also good. And the assistance to Israel including air defence with American missile systems was also good.
So yes, now America is pulling out for their own reasons but it doesn't make them all bad.

  3. I am not speaking on behalf of my illustrious colleague, garnel Ironheart -
however, consider the following scenario: Iran fails to play ball; Trump gets angry and bombs them again, and damages their regime (possibly collapsing it). Does this suddenly make trump into the good guy again?
Or is he inherently bad, like the biblical 7 nations?

    1. For DT, Trump is inherently bad. Even if this turns out to be some elborate ploy (Heaven help us please) and Iran collapses, DT will still condemn him.

    2. The question remains did he make things better or worse? Is the world safer - The rational objective answer is obviously in the negative

    3. It is not easy to measure this question. Iran is weaker - but not finished. But other powers are rising, such as Turkey.
Hezbollah is weaker (due to Israel's attacks) but it is still lethal.)
American perception of israel is far worse - but this was an unintended consequence.

    4. Turkey is the one to watch. They are increasing their occupation of northern Syria and Iraq. They seem themselves as returning to the greatest of their Ottoman days. A weak Iran makes for a perfecet rival. Who knows?

  4. You're the one with the derangement, not me.
I have said that there is good and bad to Trump all the way along.
I said we should benefit while we can when he's on our side but that he could switch tomorrow. Go back and look at all my comments. My pro-Trump stuff is generally me responding to your frothing at the mouth and screaming about how horrible he is, 100% with nothing redeeming.

  6. Garnel where are You? Daf Hayomi today Chullin 49a: As it is taught in a baraita: The verse states with regard to the priestly benediction: “So you shall bless the children of Israel” (Numbers 6:23). Rabbi Yishmael says: We learn from this verse about a blessing for Israel from the mouth of the priests, but we have not learned about a blessing for the priests themselves. When it says afterward with regard to the priests: “And they shall put My name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them” (Numbers 6:27), you must say: The priests bless Israel, and the Holy One, Blessed be He, blesses the priests. Rabbi Akiva says a different interpretation: We learned from the verse about a blessing for Israel from the mouth of the priests, but we have not learned about a blessing for Israel from the mouth of the Almighty. When it says afterward: “And they shall put My name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them,” you must say: The priests bless Israel, and the Holy One, Blessed be He, affirms their blessing. The word “them” is referring to Israel.
Beautiful. My theory. R’ Yishmael v R’ Akiva: and I will bless them” (Numbers 6:27) per R’ Yishmael God will bless the Kohanim who bless Israel v R’ Akiva God will bless Israel. Why do I find this so beautiful ? Because I’m a Kohain and I blessed in shul this morning and every morning the Kohanim blessings since I made Aliya July 8, 1991. Thank you God in Heaven. I see the full redemption now speedily in our time.

  8. Garnel where are You? Daf Hayomi today Chullin 52b: There are those who state the details of this exchange differently: After raising an objection to the statement of Rav Ḥisda from the baraita that states that a cat cannot effectively claw kids and lambs, the Gemara responds: In accordance with whose opinion is this baraita? It is in accordance with the opinion of the Distinguished One, as it is taught in a baraita: The Distinguished One says: They said that a kid is effectively clawed by a cat only in a place where there are bystanders present to save it. But in a place where there are none present to save the kid, it is not effectively clawed. The baraita, then, discusses a case where there are none present to save it. Rav Ḥisda agrees with the Rabbis that a cat can effectively claw an animal even when there are none present to save it. The Gemara asks: But in a place where there are none present to save the kid, is it not effectively clawed? But there was a. The Gemara asks: But in a place where there are none present to save the kid, is it not effectively clawed? But there was a certain hen that was in the house of Rav Kahana, which a cat pursued, and the cat entered after it into a small room, and the door shut in the cat’s face, and it struck the door with its paws in anger. And afterward, five drops of blood, i.e., venom, were found on the door. The Gemara responds: For a cat, saving itself is also considered like saving others.
Beautiful. My theory. The Gamara debates definitive laws to make an animal tereifa, clawed by a predator. The Gamara sets up (and then rejects) a possible simple rule for a goat or hen to be treifa: clawed by a cat and people were about that could save the goat or hen, claiming (falsely) with people about, the cat is not enraged and not a danger to the goat or hen. No. The Gamara, most interesting, cites a case in R’ Kahana’s house, of slamming a door on the cat’s face caused the cat to leave five drops of blood, whatever, on the door. See, cats are always dangerous, don’t put a cat to watch the hens. No, we cannot put Hezbollah, a terrorist organization, to watch Lebanon: would be like putting a cat to watch the hens.
