I get that the South never fully accepted their defeat. I get that Lincoln allowed them to maintain their symbols and even maintain slavery (calling it segregation) in order to help the country heal. But by now people should have been educated to see this flag for what it is: a battle cry for secession for the US in the name of enslaving Blacks.
