בדבר הספארט צענטער /מרכז הספורט/ יהודי שנפתח במעקסיקא אשר מבשלים שם נבלות וטרפות ושקצים ורמשים וכתר"ה יכול לפעול שיכשירו המקום ויהיה תחת השגחת הרבנים במשגיח נאמן וגם שלא יבשלו בשבת אבל בתנאי שיניחו אותם ליתן למי שרוצה לשתות חלב וגלידה קרה הנעשית מחלב אחר ארוחת הבשר ואם לא יניחו אותם זה אינם רוצים כלל לעשות כשרות בהמקום ורוצה כתר"ה לידע חות דעתי אם להנהיג שם כשרות או לא.
והנה ודאי להתיר איסור דרבנן לרשעים שאומרים שאם לא יתירו להם יעברו איסורים החמורים דאורייתא ואף שישתמדו אין לנו לחוש לזה וכדומני /וכמדומני/ שהחת"ס באיזה תשובה הביא ראיה מהא דקידושין דף ע"ב שאמר רבי כי הוה ניחא נפשיה בירתא דסטיא איכא בבבל היום סרו מאחרי המקום דמקפי פירא בכוורי בשבתא ואזיל וצדו בהו בשבתא ושמתינהו ר' אחי בר' יאשיה ואישתמוד, שכוונתו בזה להורות שאין לנו לחוש מלאסור איסור דרבנן דצידה זו לא היתה אסורה מדאורייתא כיון דהציף הנהר הכוורי והיו ביבשה אף שאישתמוד ע"י זה. והוא דין ברור ופשוט וכדמשמע שגם כתר"ה סובר כן.
אבל בכאן איני רואה שום דבר שימנעו הרבנים מלהנהיג כשרות בשביל שיהיה שם אחד רשע שיעבור וימכור אחר אכילת בשר מאכלי חלב למי שרוצה, הרי אין ההשגחה והכשר הרבנים על האנשים המוכרים להעיד שהם צדיקים שידוע לכל שהם רשעים וחשודים לעבור על כל התורה, אלא שהרבנים יראו וישגיחו על המקום שהדברים שמוכרים שם יהיו דברים כשרים שימכרו להאוכלים רק מאכלי בשר כשר וכן מאכלי חלב כשר ולא יבשלו בשבת אבל על מה שיעשו היחידים בין המוכר ובין הלוקחים שיקנו מאכלי חלב בעת שאסור להם לאכול והמוכר יתן להם אף שאסור מדין לפני עור אין הרבנים אחראים לזה כיון שאי אפשר למחות כמו שאין אחראים על מה שעושין בביתם, ולא נראה כלל שהרבנים מקילין בזה שיבא מזה פרצה ח"ו כי לא ע"ז הוא השגחת הרבנים. וגם בהכתב שיתנו הרבנים אם ירצו להדביק שם הרי לא יכתבו שהמוכרים הם אנשים כשרים אלא שכל הדברים הנמכרים שם הם דברים כשרים שעומדים תחת השגחת הרבנים.
ולכן ודאי דבר גדול יעשה כתר"ה שינהגו שם כשרות במשגיח חרדי וגם צריך שיהיה בר דעת שידע איך להשגיח שלא יוכלו לרמותו מאחר שהמנהלים אינם נאמנים שצריך הבנה ודעת איך להתנהג עם אנשים כאלו לראות שתהיה ההשגחה טובה וברורה. וזכות גדול הוא לכתר"ה במה שיציל אלפי נפשות ממאכלות אסורות. ואף למנוע מרשעים מה שאפשר שלא יעברו על איסורים הוא מצוה גדולה דהא מתני' קרי להו צנועין. וגם הרמב"ם בפ"ט ממע"ש ונטע רבעי פסק שטוב לעשות כצנועין. ובפרט שהוא מניעה מהרבה אנשים ויש מהם גם הרבה שהם כעין שוגגין שאין יודעין חומר האיסור מחסרון ידעתם /ידיעתם/ שהם כתינוק הנשבה בין העכו"ם שודאי גם מחוייבין אנחנו למנוע מהם איסורים כפי שאפשר ואף רשב"ג יודה בזה. והנני ידידו מוקירו, משה פיינשטיין.

הנה בדבר מקום שמאכילין שם טרפות למי שרוצה בטרפות אם יש להם קיטשען /מטבח/ כשר עבור אלו הרוצים לאכול כשרות פשוט שאסור לאכול שם דאין להם שום נאמנות כיון דחשודים לעבור על לפני עור דהא מאכילין גם לישראל הרוצה בטרפות. ואף אם היו מאכילין הטרפות רק לנכרים שאף שאסור גם זה משום שאסור לעשות סחורה באיסורים, מ"מ משמע שלא נחשדו להאכיל לישראל משום דחשוד לקל אינו חשוד לחמור כדאיתא בחולין דף ק"ו בהא דמים ראשונים האכילו בשר חזיר לפרש"י דלישראל היה מאכיל בשר שחוטה ולעכו"ם היה מאכיל איסורים להמפרשים דהיה רשע לדבר זה עיין בב"י יו"ד ס"ס קי"ז, נמי אסור לאכול אצל ישראל כזה דהא מאן מעיד על זה שאינו מוכר גם לישראל ואינו חשוד אלא לקל למכור לנכרים דסתם אדם המחזיק רעסטארן /מסעדה/ של איסורים מאכיל גם לישראל וצריך לידע בברור שאינו מוכר לישראל וזה אי אפשר. ובפרט במדינתנו שצריך לחקור ולדרוש היטב אף על אלו שמוכרין רק כשרות אולי הם חשודים כידוע בעוה"ר שודאי אסור לאכול אצל מי שמוכר גם טרפה. ידידו, משה פיינשטיין

Mike Pompeo: F-35 sale to Abu Dhabi was 'critical' for UAE-Israel peace

Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said that the sale of F-35 aircraft to the United Arab Emirates was "a critical part" of the normalization deal between Abu Dhabi, Israel and Washington.

In an interview in Yediot Ahronot, portions of which were published Thursday morning, Pompeo contradicted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's contention that the sale of the F-35 aircraft was not a core component of the August 2020 trilateral negotiations.

Netanyahu has tried to present the UAE deal as "peace for peace" to reject the paradigm in which Arab states only make peace or normalize with Israel if they receive land or some other benefit in return.

The prime minister has also de-emphasized his suspension of his plans to annex the West Bank on July 1, 2020, saying the option was still open to him - though the UAE has said its normalization deal took that completely off the table.

A 16-year struggle to obtain a get reached its end today in a precedent setting case opened in the rabbinical courts of Tel Aviv which ended in the Beit Din (court of Jewish law) in Brooklyn, NY. The case had gained considerable media and public attention over the years due to the influential nature of the get-refuser’s father and the lengths the rabbinical court was willing to go in order to achieve this result.

The story began 16 years ago, when having been married for just several years, D traveled to Israel with their two young children to visit her parents. Shortly after her arrival, D suffered a serious stroke, leaving her in the hospital and diagnosed with neurological damage that would affect her mobility and overall function. Hearing the diagnosis, her husband made the decision to abandon the family, yet refusing to grant her a divorce.

 For well over a decade, D was left to fend for herself and her children all while struggling with her own health and rehabilitation. Her requests for a get (Jewish writ of divorce) were repeatedly denied.

Haredi newspaper: 'Decrees of destruction by hostile gov't'

 Haredi newspapers have warned that the new government will "harm the status quo" on religious issues.

The announcement follows the publication of the coalition agreements between the parties forming the new government.

 Yated Ne'eman described the coalition agreements as a "ram of iron which gores at the walls of religion," while a subtitle claimed that "the wheels have evil have begun to move."

Hamodia claimed that "the basic principles threaten what is holy to Israel," and in a subtitle called the Draft Law, requirement to teach the core curriculum, public transportation on Shabbat (the Sabbath), the Western Wall Plan, and other issues "part of the decrees of destruction by a hostile government."

 That paper claimed that Yamina chief MK Naftali Bennett's declarations "as if he will promise not to harm the haredim or the religion of Israel are melting and dissolving as if they never were, in face of the papers and documents which are being exposed."

'Joints for Jabs': Washington state turns to marijuana giveaways to encourage residents to get vaccinated

"Joints for Jabs" is officially a thing in Washington state.  

The state's Liquor and Cannabis Board said this week that it would allow state-licensed cannabis retailers to "provide one joint to adult consumers who receive COVID-19 vaccination at an in-store vaccination clinic."

The program is the latest vaccination incentive in a state that just days ago reached its goal of at least vaccinating 70% of state adults. Gov. Jay Inslee has said reaching that mark will allow elimination of most remaining coronavirus-driven restrictions across the state.

The board said it received multiple requests from cannabis retail licensees to help promote the state vaccination efforts. The approval for what the board called "Joints for Jabs" is effective immediately and will expire July 12. Others are calling the plan "poke and toke."
