Foreign leaders who said they would nominate Trump for the prize said as much well after the deadline, although the committee has the option of adding further names at a meeting on February 28.

However, BBC reported that the five-person committee finalized the list of winners for this year’s prizes at a meeting on Monday, which is “without appeal.”
