President Trump indicated Sunday that the way to help the situation in Gaza is to “clean out the whole thing.”
Trump said he would like the two bordering countries, Jordan and Egypt, to house Gazans. He also said he would speak to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi about that idea.
Why it likely won't happen.
ReplyDelete1) Jordan is already 75% so-called Palestinian. Another another 500 000 will increase pressure on the Hashemites and maybe lead towards a coup. The Hashmites well remember Black September and don't want to have to do it again. (Although they'll shed few tears if they have to)
2) Egypt won't take them because Egypt sees them as drek and as nothing more than weapons to be used against Israel.
3) The real fear is that if they go somewhere else, they simply won't want to go back.
And if they do go, you can be sure that Egypt and Jordan will build them giant concentration camps in the middle of the desert and keep them in miserable conditions to use as propaganda as Israel.
