Whatever happens next, the frame has altered. Now it is the Republicans who are saddled with the elderly candidate, the one who can’t make a clear argument or finish a sentence without veering off into anecdote. Now the Democrats are instead proposing something new. Now it is the many pundits who were already bored by the race and ready to wrap it up who look foolish.
How pathetic. When people pointed out that Biden looked old and demented, how dare you! And now that he's out, it's okay to do that to Trump.

DeleteBiden isn't too old per se, he has obvious signs of cognitive decline.
DeleteOn one hand, yes. I know 90 year olds who haven't lost a beat mentally. On the other hand, there is the physical aspect. Even if Biden was all there (no DT, he's not), a president has to be awake and ready to make important decisions 24/7 for four years. I doubt his body could handle that. No criticism, he's just too old for it.
