I once went to hear rabbi kahane in Jerusalem, and an old American gentleman asked him what if his policies result in America stopping their $4bn in aid? Kahane answered that if the man fears this, he should remove his kippa. The old man felt very humiliated. I was in a yeshiva programme at the time, so publicly humiliation is not what a Rav should do. Otherwise, he (kahane) did raise some valid points.
