Guma Aguiar - RaP's commentary

Guma Aguiar of EJF & Nefesh BeNefesh controversy: False messiah or hero?

Clashing media depictions from America and Israel about Guma Aguiar's philanthropy and his agenda

First off, thank you for the good wishes from poster Roni/Tropper and his willingness to debate and be frank about many issues relating the still unfolding EJF-Guma Aguiar saga and his wife Jamie with the doubtful conversion from Rabbi Bomzer and the Chabad rabbi. We have all learned a lot and benefited from Roni's/Tropper's seemingly obvious first-hand knowledge about the Guma-EJF-Jamie-Tropper situation.

But it is now time to move on, not be mired and sit with the old slogans and accusations and the old points that have been repeated a hundred times by now. We need to take stock and move on because from the very bosom and heart of EJF, its still official Co-Chairman, has arisen one named Guma Aguiar who until a few days ago was only an elusive mysterious name and person in the background of the EJF story and controversy, but who now, with his "Aliyah" to Israel and having given a huge donation of a few million dollars to the Nefesh BeNefesh organization (that has support from Christian Evangelicals in America), hyped by the ultra-Zionistic Arutz Sheva media outlet, see Oil Tycoon Cashes In on Spiritual Dividends in Jerusalem (01/28/09) and Aguiar: We've Got to Climb the Ladder(01/29/09), and having declared an agenda of "starting" with bringing 100,000 new "olim" of all stripes to Israel, all this must be noted and analysed. Do you remember the couple who was supposed to be converted with Rabbi Bomzer and then Rabbi Tropper convinced them to convert with him and Rabinovitch, Only to nullify her conversion a year later because sometimes she walked outside without her sheitel ?

Now rabbi Bomzer takes a conversion candidate from Tropper, a women who is married to his financier and Tropper just cannot handle it and he reduced to going on blogs and cursing out rabbi Bomzer.

However, as much as he hates rabbi Bomzer it is nothing compared to how much he hates rabbi Noach Weinberg and if one day Tropper gets money to be keiruv enforcer the attacks on rabbi Weinberg will unmatched.

  2. RAP,

THAT WAS NOT WHAT I SAID BECAUSE WHEN YOU CUT MOST OF THE POST THEN WHAT YOU QUOTE FROM ME IS LIKE ALL THE LIES THAT YOU AND DAAT TORAH PERPETRATE.

ONE CANNOT "MOVE ON" WHEN ONE HAS FOUNDATIONS OF LIES AND DECEIT AND ESSNAN ZONAH!

IF YOU ADN FAKE DAAT TORAH WANT TO MOVE ON, THEN YOU MUST FIRST PUT THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IF YOU ATTACK SOMEONE FOR A MISTAKE, THEN YOU HAVE TO CETAINLY ATTACK THE ONE FOR DELVIERATELY BRINGING GOYIM INTO IT'S MIDST WITH ESSNAN ZONAH MONEY. KOL ZMAN YOU HAVEN'T MADE THAT TACTICAL CHANGE YOU AND FAKE DAAT TORAH LOSE STANDING IN YOUR FIGHHT FOR IS YOU POOH POOH SERIOUS COCNERNS THEN YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS WHEN YOU RAIL ABOUT SMALLER CONCERNS.

GOYIM AND ESSNAN ZONAH ARE THE MOST SERIOUS CONCERNS; IF YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THAT YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE REST THAT YOU WRITE ABOUT.

  3. I do not think anyone should be worry about Guma pulling off any kuntzes in Israel.

The Israeli Modern Orthodox rabbis are not as fearful and gullible as their American brethren. They went to the army, usually combat units and are not going to be pushed around by someone like Tropper or to be manipulated by starry-eyed newly minted BT Guma

  4. DT-

Will you share these enlightening exchanges with Rav Sternbach shlita and others who are in a position to rule for klal yisrael????

This is the tip of the iceberg of what regularly goes on in shuls in the States. Florida and Ca Chabads are the worst.

Guma Aguiar is just one of many, perhaps a bit more affluent than most but still typical of who is determining the future course of klal yisrael.

  5. Dear Rabbi Eidensohn,

You removed on another thread a comment by Roni viciously attacking the Monsey Tzaddik, while I understand why you did it, it was too vile, but I think you should be put on again so people will see the real Tropper.

  6. Please. Hopefully, the Rabbonim are now seeing the REAL Tropper and not the silver tongued, black hatted "gadol" of free lunches they were seeing before.

  7. Roni,

Using ALL CAPS is the equivalent of shouting on a blog. Please use your spell checker too.

That's not logical at all. One has nothing to do with the other. I think Roni is just trying to detract from the real point.

A person who calls themselves a "Rabbi" who alleges to have performed a "conversion" without following the Halachos, has not only not performed a genuine Conversion, but it is questionable if they should still be given the Kavod of being called a Rav.

Worse still, if the Rav KNEW the Halachos and ignored them, how can we even call such a Rav anything other than a Rasha?

Although we can split hairs all day to decide who is more dastardly (Tropper or Bomzer), it's a little like trying to decide if Enron or Madoff was a bigger goniff (thus making one worse than the other).

Neither Bomzer nor Tropper made "mistakes." To the contrary, both lobbied endlessly about their superior knowledge of the topic.

The only mistake they made is the one that criminals hate the most: they got caught.
