Condolence for Holocaust

 Rav Yakov cites Rashi that the reason for the plague of Darkness was to conceal the death of millions of Jews who did not believe Moshe and Aron that it was time to leave Egypt. He asks "How did  the Jews at that time perceive theses deaths"?. They obviously questioned that this was the time of redemption if more |Jews were suffering than Egyptians. He said during the Holocaust that this should be understood as comfort for us despite what is happening.
