the main problem here is that our own rabbinical leaders have not been willing to accept critique. If it would have been possible at any point to bring a complaint to a rabbi during the last fifty years and not get abused and stonewalled then things would not have gotten to this point. But i have the feeling that this is how rabbis have been for very long time.
Bad news: This has now become a full blown chillul hashem.
