Rule #1: Avoid displeasing Muslims

The curator, Karl Rössler, told The Jerusalem Post that it is a "scandal" that the director of the Werkstatt, Philippa Ebéné, sought to censor the exhibit.

"One must, of course, name that al-Husseini, a SS functionary, participated in the Holocaust," said Rössler. [...]

  1. Neither side of the issue should be censored.

Sure, the Mufti supported the Nazis. Aside from his clear disdain for European Jewry, he also saw Nazi Germany as an opportunity to finally throw off British colonialism in Palestine, which is something that was very bad for Arabs and Muslims. There's no doubt that for various reasons, the Grand Mufti was on the side of the Nazis.

But we also shouldn't forget that King Mohammed IV of Morocco saved about 250,000 Jews.

Being on the side of the Nazis was not an Arab or Islamic thing.

Some were with them, and some were against them.
