The Jerusalem Parade and Homosexuality

 https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/the-jerusalem-parade-and-homosexuality/

It is here that a difficulty arises for secular philosophy and ethics. On the basis of which rational principle should a homosexual relationship be permitted but incest forbidden? For the same reason one could ask why a normal hetero-sexual relationship is permitted and even encouraged? What, after all, are the moral grounds to permit such a relationship?  Perhaps every kind of sexual activity should be forbidden and considered to be unethical. This is what the famous Danish thinker and father of Religious Existentialism Soren Kierkegaard seems to be claiming. (The Last Years- Journals, 1853-55) when he argues against marriage.

  1. It's a very clever article, if you get what he is saying.

  2. The homosexual community is run by bullies. Bullies only fear other bullies stronger than them. That's why there's parades in Rome and Jerusalem but not Moscow and Mecca.
They also recognize, to an extent, their hypocrisy. The same people who insist that marriage be refined to any two consenting adults oppose polygamy.

Didn't quite catch what you said about polygamy?

  4. Biden and Squad happen to agree with Pride so they'll bully those who oppose it. Unless they're Muslim, of course.
The point about polygamy is that when the gay community was agitating for the right to marry, they demanded that the definition of marriage be changed from "one man, one women" to "two consenting people". they insisted that the traditional definition was arbitrary and homophobic. Then the polygamists came along and said "If any two, can we also have three and four?" And the gay community responded "No! It's only two because that's how it's always been!"

  5. if you carefully read R' Cardozo's article, it is the opposite of how you caricatured him earlier. he actually points out that any argument could be made in terms of secular values, including incest, bestiality etc. Your argument right here is subsumed in his article.

  6. Cardozo bases much of what he says on a book written by R' Chaim Rappoport in UK. I have nothing to do with deviants or fegeles, . B'H, but someone who lectures to a large variety of audiences, will come across a lot of them.

I have no reason to buy Rappoport's book, but here is a review of it by Prof Daniel Rhynhold
