New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman talks about her new report detailing a memo dated January 29 from White House Trade Adviser Peter Navarro that warned of the risk of a pandemic hitting the US. Haberman says it is not known if President Donald Trump saw the memo.
But we do know that early on Trump suggested a travel ban and was attacked as racist.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's not isolated. Up here in Canada, the chief public health officer also attacked people as racist back in January when travel bans were suggested. Of course, she also continues to push for selective testing even though that's been shown to be a failure, and only yesterday finally admitted that, yeah, wearing a mask in public might be a good idea.
Stupidity knows no boundaries or political limitations.
