Geneva Convention Part II Article 15b protects Civilians against military actions and attacks.
ReplyDeleteAttacking a school is certainly a blatant violation.
The Geneva Conventions consist of four treaties formulated to set the standards for international law for humanitarian concerns.
They chiefly concern the treatment of non-combatants and prisoners of war.
Could there be ANY justification for ignoring the standards of international law for humanitarian concerns?
Please refer me to the Torah source that permits violating international law regarding humanitarian concerns with regard to civilians.
Or has the religion of Christian Zionism trumped Torah not only with regard to the issue of "who is a Jew" but also with regard to "what is Judaism"?
Before you jump the gun, how about giving the benefit of the doubt? (Don't count on Ha'aretz to do that!)

Israel said its shelling at the school was in response to mortar fire from within the premises and accused Hamas militants of using schools, mosques and other civilian places to hide.

It is only evidence that terrorists do in fact hide in schools - it is not proof that it happened in the present case.
Hey, I didn't realize that.
