Trump’s inner circle increasingly views Meadows as a likely fall guy for the former president’s attempts to overturn the 2020 election. Members of Trump’s legal team are actively planning certain strategies around Meadows’ downfall — including possible criminal charges. Trump has himself begun the process of distancing himself from some of his onetime senior aide’s alleged actions around Jan. 6.
Inflation is out of control; so is immigration. Covid is spreading. And the Democrats and the obsequious journalists in their thrall and this blog are Trump consumed.
ReplyDeleteThere is still free speech guaranteed by the Constitution. It was and is legal to maintain President Donald Trump won the last Presidential election.
NOT ONE SHOT WAS FIRED BY ANY "INSURGENTS" ON JANUARY 6TH.
Not one. Zero.
No "insurgent" even brandished, much less pointed, a gun.
So, what's all this talk about criminal charges being referred to the Justice Department? No evidence anyone in the White House encouraged or expected January 6thers to enter the Capitol.
total nonsense from the republicans who favor King Trump over democracy
ReplyDeleteEmperor. It' Emperor Trump.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ashli Babbitt died from a bullet shot by a no-nonsense Capitol law enforcement officer doing his job.
Your precious insurgency was not an insurgency. It was a failure of law enforcement to enforce the law. The weapons on January 6th were in their hands.
Say the State of Israel announced they were decommissioning the military. All civil police units were also to be disbanded.
Would not Arabs pour out of Gaza and other regions in and outside the Land of Israel and fill the streets of cities and towns there and go on a rampage? Would you say, "Imagine --an uprising!"
No. You'd put the blame squarely where it belonged. On the politicians who defunded and discounted the importance of protecting the public.
Donald Trump stirred people up. But it was no organized effort. It was Trump as usual tapping into and feeding into public discontent with the status quo.
Trump tried using every angle and twisted logic to find some legal way to cling to power.
But ultimately we wouldn't be having this discussion if the Capitol Police had been better prepared on January 6.
And ask yourself, whose job was it to prepare them? Was it not the very party now holding hearings focused on Donald Trump and "insurgents" in an attempt to deflect criticism of the failure of their leadership to protect the Capitol?
But I'm talking nonsense.
Since you are boycotting the Jan 6 hearings you have no understanding of what Trump was trying to do
ReplyDeleteJoe Orlow says: THE CAPITOL IS PROTECTED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT. TELL ME HOW THE WHITE HOUSE KNEW IN ADVANCE THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT WOULD FAIL TO SECURE THE CAPITOL!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI see NY Post reports: “Secret Service deleted texts messages from Jan. 6: Government watchdog”
Secret Service agents deleted text messages exchanged around the time of the Capitol riot, according to a government watchdog that sought the communications as part of their investigation into the Jan. 6 insurrection. The Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General said messages sent between Jan. 5 and 6 were deleted “as part of a device-replacement program,” according to a letter to lawmakers, dated Wednesday, obtained by the Associated Press. The messages were erased after OIG requested electronic communications between the agents during its probe into the Capitol siege. Homeland Security personnel were also told they couldn’t provide records to the inspector general and any records would first have to be reviewed by DHS attorneys.
Bravo Joe Orlow. Wow I received just now from NYS Court of Appeals letter dated July 6, 2022: “...your motion for leave to appeal will be decided in due course.” Thank you God in Heaven. This is good news for me my family in Israel. I made the blessings on hearing good news.
