Why can't the board / dept of health get some outside evaluation of this issue? (I know the answer. Cause govt doesn't work that way.)
time for a change of "halacha"
Of all the millions of brisim done with metziza bipeh, a very tiny minority have yieldid this statistically insignificant problem. The resistance to metziza bipeh is not based on science but on prejudice.
There are plenty of other diseases, etc that are more statistically significant, but the board / dept of health decides not to get involved, except a statistically insignificant MbP.
Still not even one case where "scientists" are actually willing to compare DNA of the virus from the "victim" and from the mohel. Neither does this statement indicate the status of anyone else in the household of these infants. All that "scientists" are willing to say is that this is "consistent" with MBP related transmission. In other words, if you were to find actual proof that it did come from MBP, then we can say "told you so" but if you were to find actual proof that it did not come from MBP, then we have plausible deniability. This is fearmongering and anti-religious bias of the highest order.
