Trump's Argentina bailout deepens Illinois farmers' woes

The Trump administration threw Argentina a financial life raft this week, and Argentina promptly responded by offering China an enticement in the form of untaxed soybeans.

The bottom line: The U.S. propped up Argentina, and Beijing reaped the reward, potentially leaving American farmers as collateral damage.

  1. First, China cvan take all of Argentina's soy beans and still need lots more. That's why they're economically threatening Canada, to get a good deal here too.
Argentina, for the first time ever, has a competent government and a stable economy with decent year-by-year growth. And guess what? It's now a horrible country. Why? Because Milei supports Trump and Israel.

    1. Imposition of tarriffs or boycotts will have some (unintended) winners and losers.
Eg Spain is boycotting Israeli arms, so some other producer will benefit. Turkey bans exports to Israel, so others benefit, eg Greece.
Mrs Thatcher once said to one of the Israeli PMs (begin or Shamir) that an arms boycott will help Israel's own indigenous arms industry. She was right, and they now export to Britain!

    2. Everyone criticized Bibi over his Sparta comment but he is correct.
Ultimately there will be a Democrat president at some point and that president will do everything she can to eliminate Trump's legacy, especially his support for Israel. And if Israel isn't ready, it will suffer.
There is no reason Israel cannot manufacture most of its weapons domestically. No reason it can't develop new technologies and improves internal supply chains. the government has to run a scenario where the EU openly boycotts them while a hostile Democratic president limits arms transfers and no longer protects at the UNSC and see what it has to do for survival

  2. Everyone has trade wars with china. Australia had a problem with wine exports a few years ago, because the Chinese started making their own
