Hundreds of the U.S. military’s top leaders absorbed highly partisan addresses from President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday, with each harshly criticizing their predecessors and touting their agendas in a summit that was extraordinary in nature but ultimately broke little new ground.

    The purpose of a military is to defend the country and secure its interests abroad using whatever force is necessary. In the last couple of decades, the US military has been more interested in promoting DIE than getting ready for the coming conflict with China. To be told they have to do their job is shocking to them.
