Justice Department dismissed the case against Flynn, Trump's first
national security adviser, who was seen as the key prosecution witness
from Robert Mueller’s investigation into the Trump campaign.
Trump, along with other Republicans, seized on the decision and framed it as an example of a Democrat-manufactured plot to remove him from office.
Politics played a role in the decision to prosecute General Flynn. And politics played a role in the decision to not prosecute General Flynn.
ReplyDeletePolitics always plays a role in American justice. Politics can be defined as the allocation of resources. According to Wikipedia, "[p]olitics...is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations between individuals, such as the distribution of resources."
