A number of leading Democratic figures are now regularly speaking out against the student pro-Palestinian protests across the country, including President Joe Biden decrying the "vandalism" and "violence" breaking out.
If Joe Biden had said, in his speech, that he was going to instruct the National Guard to go onto every university campus that has an "occupation" and clear every one out, arrest any foreign nationals in those camps and deport them immediately, then I'd believe this.
ReplyDeleteInstead he said "Anti-semitism (and Islamophobia, gotta mention that!) is not acceptable. These encampments are not acceptable. And I'm not going to do anything about it!"
Poor guy. He knows he's going to lose the Jewish vote and money if he favours the Arabs and the Muslim vote and money if he favours the Jews. So what's he to do?
Well he could start with looking at both sides, seeing which one screams "Death to America!" and decide he doesn't want them.
Old school politicians like Joe Biden love to play both sides. Generally, it works for them.
DeleteI'm not implying that Trump is a Saint either. He has different issues. But, by all accounts and appearances, he does not seem to have the capacity to not say something that floats through his brain.
DeleteBiden panders to gain voters. If the Muslims threaten to abandon him, he'll pivot to try and win them back.
DeleteTrump is too egotistical to do that. He doesn't think you should be reached out to. He thinks you should reach out to him.
