Religious Affairs Deputy Minister Matan Kahana (Yamina) on Thursday announced that he will appoint twenty-one women as halakhic (relating to Jewish law) advisers in communities across Israel in 2022.
Women have increasingly assumed active roles as certified experts of Jewish religious law throughout Israel in recent years, specifically in delicate areas traditionally associated with women such as “family purity.”
Can women pasken? I don't mean according to Modern Chareidism(tm) but according to Torah law? If they can, then why not?
ReplyDeletebecause Torah law is a totally different system, and if you say that in the TnaCh they did this , and that, there are 1000's of qualifications - David was a King, so he could do those things; Samson did not go with a Zonah, but a mazon-a, like Amazon food deliveries. Devorah did not judge or do anything , or lead, but spoke through a mechitzah, and probably a voice box to disguise her seductive voice , and then the Men would carry out her directives.
