Conference of Synagogue Rabbonim of Agudath Israel Release Statement on the International Beit Din

Agudath Israel of America shared a statement from the Conference of Synagogue Rabbonim of Agudath Israel.
It has come to our attention that the so called “International Beit Din” (IBD) has issued multiple heteirim for married women to remarry without a get, utilizing various methods and arguments.
Gedolei Haposkim and multitudes of Rabbonim from across the spectrum have publicly decried the actions of the IBD and claim that their heteirim have no merit. The Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah and Conference of Synagogue Rabbonim of Agudas Yisrael join them in protest. Throughout the generations such matters were dealt with exclusively by universally recognized, foremost Gedolei Haposkim, in conjunction with other Gedolei Hador, and we firmly state that it is unprecedented and unacceptable for these matters to be dealt with in any other manner.
We turn to Rabbonim from across the country and across the world, and to all who hold our Torah and Kedushas Yisrael dear, to only rely on decisions rendered by valid, recognized Batei Din. It is our opinion that no Rav may be mesader kiddushin for any woman on the basis of a heter from the IBD to remarry. While the plight of agunos pains us deeply, and we hope and pray for them to be released from the chains of igun, dubious heteirim do not resolve their predicament.
To the contrary, it only complicates a woman’s situation by causing issues of issurim chamurim of arayus and mamzeirus.

  1. Is there a solution, when a husband simply refuses to give a get?

  2. Wow. " It is our opinion that no Rav may be mesader kiddushin for any woman on the basis of a heter from the IBD to remarry. ' I see on the internet:

    About our Beit Din:

The Rabbi Emanuel Rackman/Agunah International Beit Din L’Inyenei Agunot adjudicated cases from 1997 to 2006. When other rabbinical courts failed to assert their halachic authority to free these women (agunot), our Beit Din invoked the halachic concepts of kiddushei ta’ut, hafka’at kiddushin, and umdenah to dissolve the marriage.

  3. what experience do you have with R Rackman, especially since you say that you already gave the Get to Susan, hencem, what experience did you have with their BD?

  4. KA asks me wrong questions. “Is there a solution, when a husband simply refuses to give a get?”

Would be better to ask: Is there a solution, when a wife refuses to join her husband in a move to Israel as she promised?

KA asks me wrong questions. “what experience do you have with R Rackman, especially since you say that you already gave the Get to Susan, hencem, what experience did you have with their BD?”

Would be better to ask: Is there a solution, when a wife continues with the false/lying abandonment charge after the 1993 get to win a NYS civil divorce 2013?

Was there no civil divorce prior to this, and why not?
And what involvement did Rackman have with this?

  6. IsraelReader liked KA here. No. My theory. IBD views the get as a religious ceremony that can be skipped if she finds another man she prefers to live with. I quote:

Inquest August 1, 2013 [defendant not present at the proceedings]: [page 3] THE COURT: What he says here, my main reason is that I already divorced Susan February 17th, 1993. That was a religious divorce. MS. SERLIN: It was a religious divorce in Israel without participation or knowledge of my client. THE COURT: Right. There were no issues involving equitable distribution? MS. SERLIN: There is a marital residence. That is the one and only issue. The separation agreement that they entered into, and there is a separation before, gives exclusive possession to my client. THE COURT: What does it say as far as equitable distribution of that? ... MS. SERLIN: He abandoned the property in 1991. THE COURT: And you client is seeking the [page 4] entire property? MS. SERLIN: She has p[aid all the mortgage payments, all the taxes, all the repairs. She is you honor. THE COURT: Is the plaintiff collecting any part of the defendant's pension? MS. SERLIN: She is. Because he never paid child support. She got a QDRO for the child support. And they taxed his pension\ldots [page 6] THE PLAINTIFF; Right now, it's variable. Right now, I'm getting $703.00 a month. THE COURT: And this case was before Judge Garson? MS. SERLIN: Most of it was before Judge Rigler. All of these decisions were Judge Rigler. Judge Garson was on it for about two months, but it was nothing was decided. [page 7] MS. SERLIN: He has focused on Judge Garson, obviously because- THE COURT: This was a determination after inquest or trial or settlement? MS. SERLIN: No. There was an inquest. I have a transcript of that inquest and which granted her a legal separation at that point. THE COURT: So now you're seeking conversion divorce based on separation agreement? MS. SERLIN: Correct. THE COURT: Did he sign a separation agreement? MS. SERLIN: No. There was a judgment after inquest that he did fight the separation. They had a trial where he was represented. And Judge Rigler entered a judgment after a mini trial or hearing. THE COURT: A judgment of what? MS. SERLIN: a judgment of separation. THE COURT: Could I see that, please? MS. SERLIN: Sure. (handing up to the Court.) MS. SERLIN: And I have the transcript here also, in case you wanted to look at it"

IBD gets around . “When a man taketh a wife, and marrieth her, then it cometh to pass, if she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some unseemly thing in her, that he writeth her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house 2and she departeth out of his house, and goeth and becometh another man’s wife, 3and the latter husband hateth her, and writeth her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife; 4her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord; and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.” (Deuteronomy 24:1-4)

  7. KA asks: “Was there no civil divorce prior to this, and why not? And what involvement did Rackman have with this?” No contested civil divorce is possible after the man gives his wife a get.

It is inappropriate and wrong for Judge Prus to issue in 2013 20 years after the get a NYS civil divorce 2013 Aranoff v Aranoff based on a heap of lies of Ms. Serlin and Susan. It is inappropriate and wrong for IBD to free so-called agunot without a bill of divorcement. I quote:.

No. The rotten scoundrel fraud ways of the IDB, based on heaps of lies, much like the Mendel Epstein Rabbi Ralbag rabbinical courts---rulings based on heaps of lies. Yes I knew personally Rabbi Rackman and Rabbi Mendel Epstein---rotten scoundrel frauds the lot of them.

  8. Bravo Conference of Synagogue Rabbonim of Agudath Israel. My theory. International Beit Din the lot of them rotten scoundrel frauds. Allow me my letter today to the NYS Court of Appeals:

“1.I request permission to submit these papers concerning my motion number 2021-850 return date October 18, 2021. I'm attaching an affidavit of service proving I mailed by UPS a true copy to Susan and to TIAA.

2.I quote the Bible JPS edition:
A man takes a wife and possesses her. She fails to please him because he finds something obnoxious about her, and he writes her a bill of divorcement [Get], hands it to her, and sends her away from his house; she leaves his household and becomes the wife of another man; then this latter man rejects her, writes her, writes her a bill of divorcement [Get], hands it t o her, and sends her away from his house; or the man who married her last dies. The the first husband who divorced her shall not take her to wife again, since she has been defiled (i.e. disqualified for him)---for that would be abhorrent to the Lord. You must not bring sin upon the land that the Lord your God is giving you as a heritage. (Deuteronomy 24

3.It is inappropriate and wrong for Judge Prus to issue in 2013 20 years after the Get a NYS contested civil divorce 2013 Aranoff v Aranoff based on a heap of lies of Ms. Serlin and Susan. It is not possible to issue a contested civil divorce, over the man's objections, after the man gives his wife a Get.”

    Wow page views 75,000. Really?
