Separate-sex classes at universities are permissible to promote the ultra-Orthodox community’s integration into higher education, Israel's High Court of Justice ruled on Monday.
The court, however, determined that the policy barring female faculty members from teaching in male-only classes must be repealed immediately.
Don't forget - if it was a Muslim group demanding segregated courses, people would fall over themselves to show how accepting and tolerant they are by accommodating them. The chareidim should get the same benefit

ReplyDeleteYears ago there were stories about seculars wanting to ban chareidim from parks for fear that once they started using them they'd agitate for gender separation.
ReplyDeleteA secular gezeirah , to prevent an aveirah "doraita" in the secular book. But democracy requires that the majority will accept such a gezeira.
