The bill would have expanded the panel that chooses rabbinical judges
to include more representatives from the government and more female
representatives.

Everyone got upset - oh there's liberals in the government! Oh they're going to take Judaism out of the state! So far all they've accomplished is to fly a rainbow flag for a day. Nothing else so stop worrying.
ReplyDeleteFlying a rainbow flag for a day for me was a major event. At least for me. The flags were reported to have been flown around the world. I want nothing to do with anything that signals support of degeneracy. But as long as it's kept within the borders of a state, it is intolerable but maybe there is hope. Promoting the LGBTetc stuff in other countries crosses a red line.
ReplyDeleteSo please unless your comment was sarcastic, don't minimize an event that has had a life changing impact for at least one Jew.
Mickey L pressed the wrong button??
ReplyDeleteThis is a clear case of Etzbah Elokim Hee!
“Knesset speaker flubs vote,” May I talk of the NYS Court of Appeals and my latest?
ReplyDeleteThe Court would tell me: write letters no phone calls. Big change. Now: “The Court of Appeals heard oral argument during its April-May 2021 Session in-person, with appropriate safety and health protocols. The courtroom was closed to the general public. Oral arguments were webcast live and made available through the Court’s website. The Court has returned to full in-courthouse staffing. Clerk’s Office personnel are available at Court of Appeals Hall for telephone inquiries during normal business hours. The Court continues to accept submissions by mail and, as permitted by its Rules, electronically. In-person filings are accepted at Court of Appeals Hall during normal business hours at the Eagle Street entrance.”
I sent my Motion July 12, 2021 the Curt received July 13, 2021 10:22 am. I spoke with Ann at the Court July 14 and July 15. Yes I can call every day. Yes I can write letters.
My letter today July 16:
“1. I request permission to submit these papers concerning my Motion for Leave to Make a Motion dated July 12, 2021 Return Date July 26, 2021. I'm attaching an affidavit of service proving I mailed by UPS true copy to Susan and to TIAA.
2. I claim today that Rigler/Rothbart exceeded their authority when they imposed a freeze on my TIAA pension (1994--1997) and also in their fake/phony 1995 Rigler Order of Separation. I claim today TIAA exceeded their authority when TIAA followed the Rigler/Rothbart 100% freeze order.
3. I request the Court to suspend/pause immediately TIAA paying Susan 55% from my pension. Why? No good reason for TIAA to continue to pay. I quote the Bible: “And I charged your judges at that time, saying: Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between a man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him” (Deuteronomy 1:16).”
I bring this week’s parsha
My motion papers are now before the judges. They could decide: a) return my papers and say we had enough of you, good luck b) assign me a number and say nothing or c) assign me a number and free up my pension.
Hertz Chumash p. 739: “Hear the causes between. Lit. ‘hear between’; i.e., not to listen to ex parte statements, but to all that is said on both sides (Talmud). the stranger. In matters involving equity, there must be no difference between an Isralite and the resident alien. ”
Beautiful, Garnel, KA, IsraelReader---agreed?
