Fox News host destroys Trump aide Stephen Miller over racism

  1. For the record: I'm a racist.

Meaning, that epithet has lost all meaning. Is there anyone who denies there are differences between individuals? What about differences between families? Well, a race is a closed group of families marrying with each other.

All of a sudden all patterns just disappear when a race forms from a group of families? By definition there are differences between races! Otherwise, why are we having this discussion to begin with!!

  3. Daas Torah says “most people still realize why the comment is racist and highly offensive - even some republicans”
    No .

“As Gayle King nursed them along, and encouraged them to express their “feelings,” The Four Ingrates let it all out, oh the pain and suffering, and nobody asked about the switch from yesterday to today. Straight out of the box, moments after she took the oath of office, Michigan Dem. Rep. Rashida Tlaib sucker-punched Trump with the roar – “We’re going to impeach the MF-er.” Homage to Helen Reddy and Gloria Steinem – “I am woman, hear me roar.” But obviously, Trump did not start this fight. They did. So when Trump answers back…Big Mommy comes to the rescue. If they “don’t play well with others,” and they don’t, the “others” are always at fault. The vulgarity…the threats…the anti-Semitism…Gayle King did not bring that up in the name of balanced and objective journalism. Of course not. This is Big Mommy and these are her children and her children are always right. Woe to you if you have another opinion. Rep. Liz Cheney appeared this Sunday morning on Face the Nation. Cheney is a Republican. No soft questions for her. The segment turned into a brawl. Host Margaret Brennan had no questions; only accusations. But Cheney is no pushover. She gave better than she got and because she may have succeeded in changing a mind or two, and for the sin of being persuasive, reserves were swiftly deployed to save the morning for Big Mommy, and these are Trump derangement artists Adam Schiff and Cory Booker who immediately and reliably blasted away at Cheney, Trump, and 63 million Americans. Can Schiff, Booker and the Four Ingrates ever be wrong? Not so long as Big Mommy is on the prowl. Mother knows best. It’s the same all over…ABC-TV…NBC-TV…PBS…NPR…where the last word always goes to the in-crowd.”
Beautiful. I love Trump and Netanyahu. We have to worry about war with Iran, see http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/266282

  4. Thanks, KA, for the uptick. Most interesting today’s daf hayomi:
    T’mura 3:
“Whence do we derive that one who takes an oath is punishable [with lashes]? R. Johanan reported in the name of R. Meir [In Shebu. 21a the name given is that of R. Simeon b. Yohai]: [Scripture says:] “You shall not swear falsely by [others take in vain] the name of the Lord your God; for the Lord will not clear one who swears falsely by His name.” (Exodus 20:7). Thus intimating that the Heavenly tribunal will not hold him guiltless but the earthly tribunal punish him [with lashes] and hold him guiltless [by means of lashes his sin will be atoned]. Said R. Papa to Abaye: Why not say that the meaning of the text is that the earthly tribunal will not punish him at all [since no action is involved in taking an oath, therefore no punishment at all is inflicted]? He replied to him: If this be the case, let Scripture state: He shall not hold him guiltless, and say no more; what is the need for the word the Lord? In order to intimate: It is the Heavenly tribunal which will not hold him guiltless, but the earthly tribunal punish him [with lashes] and hold him guiltless.”
In America I remember arguing with Christian lady while waiting in line in a bank. She said I hold from eye for an eye the Old Testament, but she is better with the New Testament. She doesn’t like the language of the Old testament. Yes, the Christians promise salvation to any who say I believe. The Church famously grants protection to any convicted murdered and allows him to become a monk. The Torah uses strong language eye for an eye with the meaning money payment to show how heinous it is to take out a fellow’s eye. He is deserving severe punishment, may God have mercy. Here, too, it’s heinous to swear falsely in God’s name. He is deserving severe punishment, may God have mercy. The Old Testament language is wonderful, Torah, thank you God.

  5. It's more than I don't realize. I don't care. To me, racism is a normal and mundane part of Earthly existence.

What I find abnormal is the idea that people from far away and different cultures can suddenly come to America and we think that somehow immediately, or at the very latest, the next generation, we are all going to come together with some shared mission based on common values. Life doesn't work that way! Certainly not in America as it is today where some people expound on their differences with "pride" and "celebrate" them.

So, the President has tuned in to people's disgust with newly minted members of Congress banging away at America.

And if to do that the President has to be racist, that's the way it'll have to be.

  7. IN OTHER WORDS ONLY TRUMP CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT AMERICA - SINCE HE SAID HIS FATHER WAS BORN IN GERMANY

  8. Correct, if I may be so bold as to agree.

Donald's Trump's mother I think had Scottish ancestry. His father, German. Many of the people in the U.S. have German and Scottish blood in them. So, immigrants from those counntries tend to fit in nicely here.

So, yes, the type of complaining Donald Trump does is in line with traditional political culture. For example, his anti-immigration stance has antecedents.

The squad though seems to exude this idea that racist people have to just step aside and let others have a chance at ruling.

Nonsense! Racists stole this land from the American natives and built this country, and they are not about to rollover and play dead.

  9. Jews have generally integrated well in the countries they go to precisely because they come with the attitude that they are outsiders, and that it is not their place to dictate to their hosts nor to criticize them.

The argument could be made that Jews have taken up the banner of social causes and improved America.

To which I would agree in part. The labor movement led to better working conditions. But Jews have also sometimes gone too far, and this has led to an anti-Jewish backlash.

And too many Jews in certain places including possibly some that you mention are out of bounds in the way they are gaming the political system as well as the social services in their localities.
