There is an interesting debate regarding identity which involves measles vaccine and artificial meat
RFK jr claims that measles vaccine is shunned because it was derived from aborted tissue while scientists say the tissue was used once 40 years ago as a nutrient only and that after many generations there are not cells or material from the original fetal tissue.
There is a related issue about artificial meat which was developed with the use of real meat. Does it remain meat even after multiple replications?
In philosophy this is a question of identity illustrated by someone claiming he has Davy crocket's ax. When asked why it looks so new? The answer is it has had 4 new handles and 5 new blades over the years. So can it still be called Cavy Crocket's ax?
If someone buys a idol but over time it wears out and he replaces each piece until finally there's none of the original left, is it still the same idol?
