She then went on to describe the Canadian military as "incredibly weak" and its people as "defenseless" due to the new gun proposal.
Well yes, the Canadian military is a joke. It still uses WW2 ear pistols. Our air force planes were obsolete 20 years ago. We have no transport planes, needs to hitch a ride with the Yanks when we went to Afgahnistan. About all the army is good for is running nursing homes and changing elder people's diapers during the pandemic. Hell, they even hide the Maple Leaf on their uniforms when they work in Quebec so as not to upset the French there.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe there's another point here. What really did the Russians in was that all the Ukrainians had guns. There were no safe places for the invaders. They were at risk of being attacked everywhere. Knock on a rural farm door and get a hail of bullets in return. Something to be said for that.
