In consultations with Rabbi Asher Weiss — a prominent ultra-Orthodox rabbi whose rulings have been accepted by members in the national religious camp as well — Eliyahu said that it was decided that a special rabbinic court be assembled in order to rule on the allegations made against Tal.
In the meantime, Weiss issued a ruling of his own stating that Tal could continue functioning as head of Torat HaChaim before the court of three rabbis debated his fate. In addition, he called on members of the Yad Binyamin community to come forward before this coming Friday if they had any allegations against Tal.

ReplyDeleteNo. “In consultations with Rabbi Asher Weiss — a prominent ultra-Orthodox rabbi whose rulings have been accepted by members in the national religious camp as well — Eliyahu said that it was decided that a special rabbinic court be assembled in order to rule on the allegations made against Tal.”
Bravo to Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu. Interesting, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu is bothered by Rabbi Tal’s claim to have contact with the holy spirit. Balaam had contact with the holy spirit, over and over, in parshat בלק, e.g.
“That night God came to Balaam and said to him, If these men have come to invite you, you may go with them. But whatever I command you, that you shall do.” (Numbers 22:20).
I very much like Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu letter dealing with Rabbi Tal. God judges the world and runs the world as He sees fit. Balaam and Balak were both wicked, according to חז"ל:
Sanhedrin 105a
“ “The elders of Moab and the elders of Midian, versed in divination [lit. with divination in their power (hand)], set out. They came to Balaam and gave him Balak’s message”(Numbers 22:7). A Tanna taught: There was never peace between Midian and Moab. The matter may be compared to two dogs in one kernel which were always enraged at each other. Then a wolf attacked one, whereupon the other said, If I do not help him, he will kill him to-day, and attack me to-morrow; so they both went and killed the wolf. R. Papa observed: Thus people say, The weasel and cat [when at peace with each other] had a feast on the fat of the luckless.”
the difference between the old days is we had true Gedolim like Rav Yaakov Emden , and his holy father Hacham Zvi who fought for truth, and banished the reform-heretical Sabebtai Zevi movement. Today, there are no such truth seekers and fighters, but instead corrupt compromisers who give the title "Shlita" to Sabbatean agents!
ReplyDelete"In his open letter, Eliyahu wrote that he had notified the rabbinic
ReplyDeletecourt of the possibility that Tal would try to destroy the computer and
its “obscene content,” and that was in fact what happened. “In such a
situation it is difficult for the court to see the clear evidence of its
misdeeds,” he wrote."
Many people have more than 1 computer. there is a 4 year gap between the first accusations and the B'D, plenty of time to erase evidence or switch computers.
I also very much like Rav Eliyahu shlita. He was closer to the scene of the crime, and saw more evidence which has been hushed up.
ReplyDeleteWhen someone, a self proclaimed kabbalist, claims to have "holy spirit" and gets into sordid affairs with married women, whether verbal or otherwise, then persuades them to marry him to have messianic offspring, we know the guy is a crazed sabbatean.
The Noda B'Yehuda, who was a peer and equal to the Vilna Gaon, trued to ban Kabbalah altogether!
Rabbi Tal is simply a frum version of Goel Ratzon

ReplyDeleteNo. This week’s parsha בלק, the Torah gives us details on Balaam and Balak which we would never know otherwise. Why? I heard because God wants us to know how much God is concerned for our welfare. Without the Torah we could only conjecture that Jezebel forged King Ahab’s signature. We really know nothing of Rabbi Tal if he ever committed a crime. Civil court in Israel is so hostile to rabbis and infamous for wild exaggerations of the truth. Bravo, the bet din’s ruling, to allow Rabbi Tal to continue as Rosh Yeshiva.

Vendetta = a blood feud in which the family of a murdered person seeks vengeance on the murderer or the murderer's family. a prolonged bitter quarrel with or campaign against someone. "he has accused the British media of pursuing a vendetta against him" synonyms: feud, blood feud, quarrel, argument, falling-out, wrangle, clash, altercation, dispute, fight, war;

Daf Hayomi Arachin 16a:
”R. Samuel b. Nahmani said in the name of R. Johanan: Because of seven things the plague of leprosy is incurred:... Because of robbery, as it is written: “The priest shall order the house cleared before the priest enters to examine the plague, so that nothing in the house may become unclean; after that the priest shall enter to examine the house” (Leviticus 14:36). In connection with which a Tanna taught: Because he had gathered money that was not his own, the priest comes and scatters it. And because of envy, as it is said: “The owner of the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, Something like a plague has appeared upon my house.” (Ib. 35) referring to which the school of R. Ishmael taught: He who would reserve his house for himself [will suffer from house leprosy. v. Yoma 11b].”
“You shall not move your countryman’s landmarks, set up by previous generations, in the property that will be allotted to you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to possess. A single witness may not validate against a person any guilt or blame for any offense that may be committed; a case can be valid only on the testimony of two witnesses or more [lit. three]” (Deuteronomy 19:14-15).
“People remove boundary-stones; They carry off flocks and pasture them” (Job 24:2).
Job is not conducting a vendetta. Job is exhorting against robbery. I’m praying to God to get my pension back. “All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like You? You save the poor from one stronger than he, the poor and needy from his despoiler.” (Psalms 35:10). Follow, KA?
Exhortation = an address or communication emphatically urging someone to do something. "no amount of exhortation had any effect" synonyms: urging, encouragement, persuasion, pressure, pressurization, pushing, insistence

ReplyDeleteDaf Hayomi today Arachin 23a:
“Mishnah. If a man dedicates his possessions to the Sanctuary whilst still liable for his wife's kethubah, R. Eliezer says when he divorces her he must vow [lest the divorce was a collusion of husband and wife for the purpose of depriving the Sanctuary of certain property on which the kethubah had the first lien] that he will not derive any further benefit from her. R. Joshua says, he need not do so. Likewise said Rabban Simeon b. Gamaliel: also if one guarantees a woman's kethubah and her husband divorces her, the husband must vow to derive no benefit from her, lest he make a conspiracy [R. Joshua does not assume that a man would go to such lengths to defraud the Sanctuary] against the property of that man [the guarantor] and take his wife back again [After the kethubah had been paid out to her. Kinunia, the Greek Koinonia, partnership, then joint fraud, collusion]. Gemara. Wherein do they differ? R. Eliezer holds: A man will engage in a conspiracy against the Sanctuary. But R. Joshua holds that a man will not engage in a conspiracy against the Sanctuary.”
Beautiful I like R. Eliezer here. Surely, people say all kinds of things with devious and hidden agendas. Words only often are not to be taken literally. I gave the example in my comment on parshat חקת “The people quarreled with Moses, saying, If only we had perished when our brothers perished at the instance of the Lord!” (Numbers 20:3). I like R. Eliezer because a man dedicates his possessions to the Sanctuary are words only. There is a difference שמים וארץ Heaven to Earth of words only and words with an action. Rabbi Tal supposedly said words only to the lady. OK the civil court ruled slander and he must pay 500,000 NIS. The bet din allows Rabbi Tal to teach Torah. Rabbi Tal didn’t do any bad action. I claim in NYS COA 649 7/15/2019 and in SCOTUS 18-9390 Susan did a bad action: forgery. Follow, KA?
No, you have not accused Susan of cavorting with other men, neither did she accuse you of philandering.
ReplyDeleteTal was philandering, and was speaking thru his yidoni oracle.

ReplyDeleteKA knows what Nathan the prophet is accusing King David of. KA knows what I’m accusing my ex-wife of. KA knows what my ex-wife is accusing me of.
No. Ian Anderson handled all the Susan court strategy in the early years. Irwin and Rivka Haut submitted written testimonies against me, which I have still today. Lies lies lies. The Hauts have passed on. Who cares what they said in court papers? Let bygones be bygones. I don’t want to learn the truth about the Hauts and Susan. I just want my pension, follow KA?
Also with the bet din and Rabbi Tal. The bet din doesn’t want to learn the truth about Rabbi Tal and Rabbi Tal’s wife and the lady.
