Update: Added audio recordings of Yoel asking for verification that the 3 original judges that he requested are there - and being given a runaround.
Today the drama that we have been looking forward to for weeks played out. It is 20 days since Yoel offered to give Rivky her get that she has been screaming to the world that she desperately wants and ran around to all the secular scandal sheets and created an incredible chilul haShem. The get that she has collected thousands of dollars from fellow Jews claiming she was raped, kidnapped, enslaved by her hsuband. A get she demanded in conjunction with a $480, 000,000 RICO claim against her husband.
Yoel all along has remained calm, denying all her claims and suffering the abuse from the newspaper article, the Facebook campaign, the television reports and of course the YouTube video that Rivky put out detailing in disgusting detail assertions related to intimate aspects of their marriage, claims that he and his family were criminals and that she has suffered inhuman abuse from him.
On her website, she provided "proof" in the form of her RICO claim. But perhaps most damaging to Yoel's reputation and what convinced most people that her story of horrific abuse was true - were the documents from her Mill Basin Beis Din declaring that they had issued 3 invitations for Yoel to show. The beis din documents claim that upon his failure to appear before them - they poskened that he was obligated to give his wife a get [this by the way is not in accord with accepted halacha] and that he was placed in cherem.
However as painstakingly detailed on this blog - there is no such beis din. Yoel in fact tried multiple times to contact the Mill Basin Beis Din at the telephone numbers listed on the documents. The psak of the beis din - after hearing only one side is as Rav Moshe Feinstein has stated - violates an explicit gemora and the ruling of the Shulchan Aruch.
Finally about 3 weeks ago, Yoel Weiss decided that it was time to tell his wife to put up or shut up. He made a simple but brilliant offer. He had originally wanted to wait for the RICO case to be resolved before giving the Get - which in fact is the accepted procedure according to Rav Moshe Feinstein and others. However convinced that the beis din was fake, he made an offer that Rivky had to accept. He would give Rivky the Get she demanded on the day after Tisha B'av (today) - but only if the Mill Basin Beis Din appeared and was competent to arrange the writing and giving of a Get. If the Beis Din was real he would give her the Get as promised but if it was fake - then she would be exposed to the whole world as a liar.
In fact Rivky showed up with a sofer to write the Get - but without the Beis Din. Yoel called the number of the supposed beis din and someone answered and said not to worry that the dayanim are stuck in traffic. But he said that one dayan is sitting shiva and can't make it. When Yoel asked for the address of the dayan so he could be menachem avel - the person he was talking with suddenly ended the call.
All of this is recorded for those who want solid evidence. But as Abraham Lincoln said, You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people
some of the time - but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
SHAME ON YOU RIVKY FOR CREATING SUCH A DISGUSTING CHILUL HASHEM!
Hopefully the newspapers and other reporters who reported Rivky's charges against Yoel with such relish as proof of the "disgusting" behavior of Orthodox Jews - will hopefully now have the decency and professional ethics to report this development - which clearly raises questions regarding the rest of Rivky's story..

Yoily requesting the beis din to tell him when 3 dayanim come
Yoel had clearly stated that the absolute condition for giving the get was to have all three rabbis who signed on the cherem and seruv showed up and were competent to arrange a get. The above recordings demonstrates that he called to determine that the 3 dayanim specified had come and was informed that they hadn't but that there were 3 rabbis. The condition therefore was not met.

I hope he properly documented his appearance at the sham beis din location. The redeem rivky Facebook has a picture of 3 men. They must be publicly identified and taken to task for participating in this gross chilul hashem. To the media, 3 men looks like a beis din...
ReplyDeleteTaking a look at Shira Dicker's facebook page, they are claiming today that the "beit din" and the three original dayanim *did* show up. It would be helpful to publish the recordings made today demonstrating that the original three so-called dayanim did not show up to put to lie Rivky Stein's claims today that the three did come to the address.
ReplyDeleteI have a few questions for Yoel...
ReplyDeleteHow does he explain the pictures that were posted on Rifky's Facebook page this morning showing people waiting for him? The pictures appear to be of both addresses in question.
Assuming that Yoel is correct al pi halacha, why would he want to be married, and be required to support, a woman who would make up a fake beis din and slander him and the Jewish people?
Does Yoel think that continuing this, and perhaps proving himself right, is less of a Chillul Hashem than what has already taken place in the media?
Where was all of the food and refreshments that Yoel promised a few weeks ago? Does Yoel think its a Chidush Hashem to tell a lie?
Does Yoel ever think that perhaps, he is lending credibility and sympathy to those who want to controvert halacha by permitting divorce on demand?
Yes - please provide the recording and the PROOF that the recording was not someone Yoel placed at the other end of the phone call. Also provide the proof that Yoel himself showed up like he said he would so he could in person verify that her BD was there. That seems to most logical and reasonable people a very safe way to assure if they were or were not there. Anything else lacks sufficient proof of anything. All that being said, this marriage is over and Yoel is a Get Refuser.
ReplyDeletein other words, he didn't show up as he promised.
ReplyDeleteHer facebook page is writing:
ReplyDelete"The Beit Din went into action and made all necessary arrangements to make sure that the Sofer, Eidim and Dayanim were present. Two of the three dayanim (Rabbi Goodman and Rabbi Abales ) were present while Rabbi Taub is sitting Shiva for his mother in Israel and therefore could not come. A different Dayan from the same Beit Din was there in his place."
So, on Facebook, Rivky confirmed that Rabbi Taub was sitting shiva and that "A different Dayan from the same Beit Din was there in his place". I guess that's not good enough? Is she making it all up?
ReplyDeleteConsidering how 2 out of three Rabbanim were there.. the one that was sitting shiva was in ISRAEL.. Shame on YOEL for this chillul Hash-m..
ReplyDeleteI believe that Yoeli should anyways give her a get. It seems like they both like the drama. It's a soap opera. They may be a good Shidduch after all. They both seem to be enjoying this game.
ReplyDeleteIf a dayan is sitting shiva, this can be verified at www.misaskim.com. besides, they should have called to reschedule, instead of posting on FB that they will show. And the hamgupcall.
ReplyDeleteSign me as "was there".
A get should never be used as a weapon or revenge. It should never have been withheld in the first place. He is a scumbag for not giving it when asked the first time. End of story
ReplyDeleteWere the pictures of the three original signatories, as has been conditioned all along?
ReplyDeleteRedeem Rivky has pictures of Rabbis. Pictures of her and a Rabbi, but the Rabbi's name does not match any of the names from the siruv. Not once have I seen where it said the three original Rabbis were there, just that a beis din was awaiting. She has pictures showing from both addresses, but not the correct Rabbis....
ReplyDeleteAccording to Jewish law and customs, the Get is the last instrument executed in the halachic divorce process. It hasn't reached that stage. And he would be nuts to give it earlier than regular halachic protocol considering all the damages his wife has caused him with false arrests and false public charges.
ReplyDeleteQuestions for Yoeli:
ReplyDelete1) How does he explain the pictures of both addresses that Rifky posted on her Facebook page today?
2) Yoeli invited a large group of people on his DT post a few weeks ago. Surely someone took pictures of Yoeli waiting - with the crowd and with the food and refreshments that he promised. Could someone post them?
3) If a wife slandered her husband in public and concocted a fake beis din to summon him, why would a man want to stay married to her - especially since halacha requires him to continue to support her?
4) Where does Yoeli see this ending? Does he see himself back together with Rifky in a few years? If not, why wouldn't he want to close things out?
5) Yoeli says that the media attention is a Chillul Hashem. Does he think that continuing the saga and, perhaps, proving himself "right" will lessen or increase the Chillul Hashem?
6) Does Yoeli ever consider that not bringing this to an end likely increases support for the anti-halacha groups that advocate "get on demand"?
7) If the Beis DIn is fake, why didn't Yoeli come with his own?
Is there any proof even two of the three showed up? Her facebook page does not show the two alleged dayanim showing up.
ReplyDeleteConsidering no one knew or heard of these three before this event, this is the least she can do.
Put up the photos of the two alleged dayanim!
okay, I read what was posted again... this time it says the two out of the three rabbanim were there with one sitting shiva. What is the reason now that there is no GET?! I was all for Yoel..but now seeing that he too is lying..so what else is he lying about?
ReplyDeleteWhile I believe Yoel has no chiyuv to give a Get I do feel he should post his side of what happened today asap. The facebook post seems very convincing that Rivky Weiss did try to come with her purported bais din.
ReplyDeleteYoel Weiss wrote:

It was a date, a time, a place, a Beith din he chose. No-one seems to dispute that he did not show up in the end.
This very clearly proves that he is playing games. He undermined his credibility one more time.
How does he explain the pictures that were posted on Rifky's Facebook page this morning showing people waiting for him? The pictures appear to be of both addresses in question.
ReplyDeleteOne guy said the Dayonim were stuck in traffic! The other guy said he has "signed documents from the original "beit din" and that a substitute one is in place". Hmmm.
Does Yoel think its a Chidush Hashem to tell a lie?
How dare you! Why don't you ask Uzi Frankel and Rivky this question?
The DAyonim didn't show up. Neither did strong supporters!
ReplyDeleteTwo of the three dayanim (Rabbi Goodman and Rabbi Abales ) were present
ReplyDeleteNo they weren't! They were "stuck in traffic". It's on recording. The television crew she had also recorded this!
She's making it up! Please call rabbi Lichter and ask him.
ReplyDeleteOne guy said they were stuck in traffic. Another guy said he has their signed papers... They all agreed that none of the "dayonim" were there.
None of the "dayonim" were there! Ask Ms. Dicker to provide pictures of the supposed Rabbi Goodman and the supposed Rabbi Abales. She has so many pictures - why no pictures of the "dayonim" and keep everyone quiet.
ReplyDeleteThere is photographic evidence of 2 men and a 3rd, who look like rabbis. There are also witnesses. Why dint Yoel show up, or were these pics staged?
ReplyDeleteSo, was he there with food or not? If he wasn't, then he told a lie.
ReplyDeleteI understand that his condition for giving the get was that the 3 individuals, per se, show up. He is certainly allowed by halacha to make that stipulation.
ReplyDeleteBut, why? Wouldn't he just want to get her out of his hair? At least he should have shown up and explained himself. If he did not show up, then he lied a few weeks ago when he posted on Daat Torah.
His wife has been attempting to prevent him from seeing his kids and she's been having him arrested multiple times on false charges. He'd be nuts to give her a Get before this abuse of him by her is not first stopped. A Get is the last instrument executed in a divorce process under standard halachic protocol.
ReplyDeleteyou are missing the point. Many of us do not know who is telling the truth. What we know as a fact as he promised to show up and if it is the same beis din that issued his seiruv, he will give a get. Rivky posted pictures of herself showing up, he did not. At this point I have taking the side of Rivky, simply because the one fact which is known, is that he promised to show up, and he didn't. If he thinks these are other judges, let him show up and prove it, the fact that he did not, shows in my eyes that he lied and took this whole blog for a nice long ride. and it seems the blog owner was also fooled. He still as the gadget up saying Rivky did not respond to Yoel's offer for a get. Well, the truth is staring in his face, that she came and he didn't come.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen any pictures from Rivky Weiss of the two dayanaim that they claim showed up today? Shira Dicker is posting many photographs today on her Redeem Rivky facebook page but none of them so far show any dayanim. All we know is she claims two out of three showed up.
ReplyDeleteThat does not mean that they did not arrive in the end! She is pictured with three Rabbanim!
ReplyDeleteYes they did.
ReplyDeleteThen don't make grand stand announcements that you are going to produce and then not do it! that takes away from his credibility .
ReplyDeleteExcuse me.. but just because someone gets stuck in traffic does not mean they never get there.. She was there for over an hour!
ReplyDeleteUm, My husband heard of Rabbi Taub..
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else starting to smell a falsehood being perpetrated that the dayanim showed up? Why did Stein post a photo of the Sofer and other attendees there but none of the dayanim??
ReplyDeleteThey were there with her at the 2nd location where Shaina Weiss claimed that Yoel was.. guess what.. she lied! he wasn't there!!
ReplyDeleteMoe - this was a PUBLIC affair that YOEL called to be public. That means, the onus was on him to show up and verifythe person who was there. The fact that Rivky knew it was so public and the fact that other people did show up makes me believe that she would in no way lie about who was there on her page, as that could very quickly be disputed. So it's time to realize who the real liar is here. Yoel did not show up as he stated he would and now he is digging a bigger hole to cover his lies.
ReplyDeleteWhere is this so called recording?
ReplyDeleteHe is causing himself damage and stop picking WHICH halacha is convenient for Yoel to follow.
ReplyDeleteShe is only pictured with Rabbi Lichter, the well-known sofer/scribe. There is a picture of one other potential rabbi. So only two people pictured with,a nd one is a well-know sofer who's name is Lichter. No one else.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me.. But if this is such an important event - an event that justfied such unheard of measures of flashing and showcasing your dirty laundry to wide world - how can they be late? Why couldn't they have left an hour earlier? Who comes more so late to an important business meeting?
ReplyDeleteWhere are the pictures of the supposed Rabbi Goodman and the supposed Rabbi Abalas??!
BTW, there is no chiyuv of support for wife who is a moredes and many poskim say he doesn't have to divorce ever. It isn't clear to me who is right and who is wrong is the marriage dispute but one thing is clear is that you have shitos that stink of feminism.
ReplyDelete"he did not show up in the end." - So the feminist lynch-mob is demanding that he show up at the non-existent address on Rivky's fake "seruv" documents?
ReplyDeleteCan
anyone here please prove to us using an Internet mapping service:
Between which two cross-streets is "1278 East 77nd St." located? That is
the address on Rivky's "Beis Din" documents, but the address does NOT
exist on either Google maps, Yahoo maps or Mapquest!!! (The highest
number on East 77th St. is about 998 !)
Its an utter travesty of
injustice that Yoel is being blamed here by the feminist lynch-mob while
the evidence is overwhelming that Rivky and her thug-for-hire "rabbi"
have been bamboozling us all along.
I saw a pic of her with three dayanim!
ReplyDeleteu obviously didn't look at her facebook page.
ReplyDeleteWhy were the supposed Rabbis not there?
ReplyDeleteWhy did one person claim that the rabbis were "stuck in traffic"?
Why did another guy claim that they won't show up - but, he has "documents from them releasing their" excommunication?
My friend was there.
Yes they did.
ReplyDeleteKindly provide a link.
On her face book page I only see Rabbi Lichter and one other person.
Um, you have zero credibility.
ReplyDeleteKindly let us know where he Davens, who his rebbe was and who ordained him as a rabbi. Thank you.
no, when she goes to the second location she is pictured with three rabbanim!
ReplyDeletetwo out of the three rabbanim were there
ReplyDeleteIncorrect. They were not there!
Why aren't there any pictures of them????????? (I know why...)
so if one is sitting shiva then he can't give a get.. ?that makes no sense.. it's the same beis din.. that's a total kop out.
ReplyDeleteBecause none of the dayonim showed up!
ReplyDeleteThey couldn't even get their story straight. On guy said they were stuck in traffic. the other said that he has signed documents from them removing their excommunication.
when she walks over to the second location!!
ReplyDeleteThe disgusting and notorious Daily News reporter is none other than Reuvein Blau. Wow.
ReplyDeleteTalking about rationality - Mr. Blau:
1) Why should Yoely remain in excommunication?
2) Why should Ms Stein and your friend Shira Dicker not ensure that the beit din who did so much for them already, and whom Yoely wants that they should perform the get, why were they not there? What's the rational reason, Mr. Blau?
3) Why were you so antagonistic to Yoely, Mr. Blau? Are you neutral reporter reporting the news?
4) Why did you leave the New York Post, Mr. Blau? What's the story?
Yoel really believes this audio HELPS his cause. He is more delusional and controlling than I thought. He was smug and condescending and kept talking over people and he really was not asking a question..... he was simply stating that he was not coming. No story here, except one about a liar.
ReplyDeleteWHERE is YOEL .. who could have CLEARLY IDENTIFIED each person? Please ... pathetic.
ReplyDelete@Mevakeshhaemes - aside from demonstrating a high degree of anger and contempt - you are not contributing much to this discussion and you clearly are not aware of the halachic issue and the context of Yoel request.
ReplyDeletewhich rabbis - do you know them?
ReplyDeleteHe promised to show up if the bais din showed up. The audio clearly shows him asking if they arrived yet, and the reporter saying it doesn't need to be the exact bais din. He even called the stipulation ridiculous, IIRC, as if it wasn't stated 20 days ago.
ReplyDeleteTruthJew - do you not realize your whole argument is moot as it was Yoel who INVITED Rivky to this address, claiming if she brought her BD he would check their credentials of course (in person) and the give her the get. Superfluous conditions aside, he lied. He did not personally show up and check their credentials.
ReplyDeleteHis words were "I intend to show up Bezras Hashem at 12 pm sharp at Rivky' Steins &
UZIEL FRANKEL Beis Din located 1278 East 77nd Street Brooklyn, NY
11234 since these three Rabbonem are not known to anybody but to Rivky
Stein and{ Uziel Frankel } , they will need to identify themselves,
present proper identification and credentials that they are indeed
rabbonem who can handle a get in general."
The evidence is overwhelming that Yoel is a liar and likes to pull all the strings and was too much of a coward to show up and face her, because he would have been daunted with the actual and real task of providing a Get.
Then why would her reporter keep on telling Yoeli that it doesn't need to be that exact bais din, that they have ten guys ready. If they were coming, he would have said so.
ReplyDeleteI guess "Honesty" is a pseudonym for "Yoel Weiss" ... because the ONLY person who needed to verify all that information was Yoel ... which he could have done if .. wait for it ... wait for it ... SHOWED UP!
ReplyDelete@lament your comments indicate that you are ignorant of bothe the halacha and the facts in this case. Please stop bellowing.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you all are getting caught up in whether or not the original dayanim were there or not at the specified time at the correct address proves that he was able to suck you into shenanigans and distractions.
ReplyDeletePlain and simple:
A get is not a means for personal leverage.
It is not a bargaining chip.
It is not a method of extracting custody or deferring lawsuits.
It should be given when requested.
This would have never happened if he just gave it the first time he was asked.
@lament - you don't know what your are ranting about. Yoel offered the get on the condition that the 3 original judges showed and were compenet to deal with gittin. Yeold called the beis din and asked to be informed when the requested judges showed up. In fact they apparently did not. This doesn't make Yoel a liar. All the beis din had to do was reply that the judges were there and he would have shown up
ReplyDeletethat is wonderful - is Rabbi Taub qualified in gittin? Did he show up as required?
ReplyDeleteYoels request makes no sense. If 3 dayanim excommunicated him, even if he needs those exact 3 to release him from excommunication,he would not have been released unless he gave the Get. He needs 3 to validate the Get .. then the original 3 can release him from excommunication. We all know that shiva is seven days. We all know that Yoel was the one who invited Rivky to show up. We all know he did so way more than 7 days ago. There is no way that one of the Rabbanim could prevent his shiva in Israel beforehand. So two showed up .. publicly and a third Rabbi to replace Taub. If Yoel would have shown up like he said he would, he could have very quickly and very easily verified these were the rabbanim there. Yoel is a coward and a bully.
ReplyDeletewhich 3 rabbis? - you keep repeating yourself without adding new information.
ReplyDelete@morris becuase you not only don't know who is telling the truth but you don't know the facts of the case or the halacha guiding it. That ignorance doesn't give you the right to make pronouncements what Yoel must do or not do. He only promosed to show up if the 3 original judges showed up and were competent in gittin. So what your judgment based on total ignorance is nonsense.
ReplyDeleteWould you like to show respect to people who comment here. I am not ranting. You posted his words on YOUR site .. read them again. He said he will show up- period! He then said he would verify these are the 3 rabbanim and if they are he will give a get. Aside from the fact that making such conditions for a Get is already sick and twisted. HE DID NOT SHOW UP to verify on his own if the three were there and if they were the right three. He is a LIAR BECAUSE he said he would show up period. Giving the Get would have been a separate matter.
ReplyDeleteYou are rude. And I am neither ignorant or bellowing. READ YOELS WORDS that YOU posted on YOUR site.
ReplyDelete@Yehuda you missed the major facts that are the basis of this event. Why do you feel a need to make judgment about what he should have done - in spite of being ignorant of these facts? On top of that you feel the ability to decide he is a liar without knowing what he said. Please cut out the self-righteous nonsense.
ReplyDeleteHe said that if she comes with the beis din he would provide food. She didn't come with the required beis din. What was the lie?
ReplyDeleteYou keep repeating yourself that he promised to show up ONLY IF the 3 original dayanim are present. You can repeat it 500 times it won't make it true. He only promised to give the Get of the 3 original dayanim there ... but he said I will BEH be there .. and he was intending to verify their credentials. that is difficult to do when you don't show up.
ReplyDeleteRobin did you know that he made his showing to give a get conditional on having the 3 original judges? They didn't show up - so who is playing games?
ReplyDelete@Manny D - Rivky did not produce the 3 dayanim that were requested. The fact that she tried to substitute other rabbis for the original is irrelevant to fulfilling his requirement
ReplyDeleteConcerned @ how can you accuse Yoel of lying when you acknowledge that his requirement for a get were not fulfilled?
ReplyDeletesee how you change your words ... bc your words before made ZERO sense.... although the new words "his SHOWING to give a get" are also untrue. WORDS matter. Yoels wording and your chosen wording matter. He said he would show PERIOD. His wording was also condescending to her supporters. Your support of him is deplorable.
ReplyDeleteYou afraid to post my comments because it forces you to face the truth?
ReplyDelete@Yehuda would you walk into a surgery room and start telling the doctors how to operate. Why do you think that your lack of knowledge of halacha qualifies you to tell Yoel what he has to do?
ReplyDelete@Jake you are totally ignorant of halacha and the facts of the case. The normal procedure in halacha is for the Get to be given after all matters are settled. There are many unsettle issue in this case including a $480 million RiICO claim that Rivky has made against Yoel.
ReplyDeleteSo apparently everyone here in support of Rivky who called out Yoel for not showing does not know Halacha .. only YOU know the halacha ... although you base it on a false premise. You know full well that Yoel said he would show .. even if after that he would not give the get bc he verified that the original 3 were not the dayanim there. You know full well that his showing was not on condition of the 3 dayanim being original ... bc in his own words ... he was going to show and verify their credentials. The halacha of keeping one's word to show up had nothing to do with halachos involved in giving the get. But keep on calling everyone ELSE ignorant of Halacha bc that somehow makes it truth. And also don't post anything that points the truth out to you. I know you are reading this... you will have to answer on RH and YK for your words .. calling people ignorant .. using ad hominems such as "bellowing" and "ranting". You are not an honest person when you choose to relay only one side of the coin. You are not an honest person. You can use your own introspection on the matter. But of course, it explains why someone like you would be so readily willing to hold Yoel to the highest esteem. It takes a dishonest person to know a dishonest person.
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous... he should give the get and settle the other issues in secular court if need be... why should he get to have a bargaining chip that she does not have? Does that make any sense to you? Your appeal to halacha is crazy... you don't even need a beis din for a get, just two witnesses.
ReplyDeleteHold the phone... Please read my post a bit more carefully. Do you see
ReplyDeleteanything but questions? Do you see any statements directing or
advising Yoel about anything? I simply asked questions.
Who
says whether I know anything about halacha or not? If asking 7
questions shows a lack of of knowledge of halacha, that is quite sad.
Questions equal feminism? How sad.
ReplyDeleteSo, let me ask one more question of you: Who determines that a woman is a moredes - the husband or a beis din?
Apparently he did not agree with you 3 weeks ago when he posted on this blog that he would give a get today if 3 specific rabbis showed up. He made no mention of visitation or arrest issues, if my memory serves me correctly.
ReplyDeleteWhoever runs this website- you are PATHETIC.
ReplyDeleteYour writing is amateur and you are highly emotional. No one appreciates blogs like this. Just like Jacob said, Yoel is a scumbag.
He raped her. She even has it on recording. She may be a but job as well.
BUT WHO CARES.
He is leaving her in chains for the rest of her life. There is a special place in gehenom for both yoeli weiss and YOU for posting all this.
If a woman wants a divorce- she deserves one.
Yoel Weiss you are a scumbag and no normal woman would EVER wants to marry you if you decide to get a heter from 100 "rabbis".
Perhaps I missed the major facts... I just remember a post a few weeks ago on this blog where he stated that he was coming to a certain address at a certain time and would give a get if 3 specific people were there. (Note the order of his statements and what was conditional on what, as I remember them.) For some reason, I cannot find his post now.
ReplyDeleteMy rebbes in yeshiva taught me that breaking my word is extremely seriously. Are you suggesting that it is OK to make promises and then not keep them?
DT - are you paskining that Rivky should have made sure that the dayan sitting shiva took a break from shiva to be at the procedure?
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely not an expert on this, but I believe from what I read that he needed those exact three rabbis to lift the excommunication that they imposed on him. I really think that Rivky has a personality disorder. Her actions are not just malicious, but they are very bizarre.
ReplyDeleteYehuda, Yoeli called first called in lieu of showing up to first verify the condition was met and then if verified he would have shown up.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: The title of this post is 'Yoel is "heartbroken" when Rivky's "Beis Din" fails to show and he can not give his beloved wife a Get"'
ReplyDeleteSo, am I understanding correctly that, according to your understanding of halacha, a) a husband can make a condition on giving a get and b) once he makes that condition, he cannot rescind it?
If a) and b) are incorrect, why wouldn't a heartbroken man simply rescind the condition?
You are correct if that is what his post said. For some reason, I cannot find it anymore and am trying to remember to the best of my ability.
ReplyDeleteThe most humorous part of this very sad saga is hearing the audio recording of an am haaretz reporter from the shmutzy Daily News giving Yoeli halachic lessons on what and which beis din is or isn't required or rational.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I missed the part where she wasn't living in a country where lawsuits and custody disputes were settled by an unbiased secular court.
ReplyDeleteWhy does it make sense to allow him to use a religious upper-hand as leverage in a civil matter.
If you are seeking the truth and the facts why wouldn't a jury be an appropriate means to discovering that truth?
Wouldn't using a get as leverage distort that truth?
@Jake - Let's try some authentic Judaism now instead of the feminism you're spewing.
ReplyDeletePlain and simple:
A GET is the last procedure in a Jewish divorce settlement. All issues should be settled before the GET. Those women who wage war on their husbands are m'agen (chaining) themselves and are making their husbands "agunim".
A fake "seruv" (like the one used by Rivky Stein), and a slanderous PR campaign in the media are anti-halachic, illegitimate and unethical means for personal leverage against a Jewish husband.
They are methods of harassing, slandering, and extracting a coerced and invalid GET from a Jewish husband. Women who use these methods are m'agen (chaining) themselves and are making their husbands "agunim".
A fake "seruv" from a non-existent "Beit Din" should never be publicized. Those who do so make a mockery of the Torah and are to be put in cherem according to the Shulchan Aruch.
This chillul Hashem, mockery of Torah, and travesty of injustice against a Jewish husband never would have happened if Rivky Stein had utilized valid halachic procedures to obtain a Jewish divorce.
It would be great if you care to show me a source that says that in the case of custody battles a husband is permitted to use a get as leverage to get what he wants.
ReplyDeleteOr that in a case where he is being accused of a crime amounting to $480 MM a man is righteous in saying "regardless of what a court finds to be true, drop the lawsuit or I will not give you a get"
Because I'm pretty damn sure that one matter is settled- they do not wish to be married to each other. Give a get. After that courts rule issue by issue without someone holding another person's freedom over their head
Kindly link the picture. Please tell me which one is rabbi Goodman and which one is rabbi Abeles. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the pictures, and they were not there.
A civil divorce should never be used as a weapon or revenge. It should never have been withheld in the first place. She is a scumbag for not giving it when asked the first time. End of story
ReplyDeleteOh, wait. Why aren't you attacking all the laws about civil divorce??
u obviously didn't look at her facebook page.
ReplyDeleteInstead of throwing out silly responses, why don't you be kind enough to provide a link to the implied picture? Please identify which picture is rabbi Goodman and which picture is the supposed rabbi Abeles. Thank you.
I saw a pic of her with three dayanim!
ReplyDeleteKindly email the pictures to Rabbi Eidensohn. Please!!!! We need to help resolve this ASAP. Thank you.
If you can't produce the picture/evidence of it then it's not true. It seems very alike that you just blindly buying Shira Dicker's lies from RR-FB, but this time her lies clearly came all out with Yoily being enough smart B"H to record the conversations with Ruvy Blau of Daily News & with the other guy that claimed to be Srul Forkosh....
ReplyDeleteYoily, I have to tell that we're all very impressed & proud of you. B"H you were in your right mind and acted like a very shroud businessman using your אידישע קאפ , and you used your שכל הישר and you didn't let them fool you B"H. Heads up to you. כל הכבוד . You ממש did a קידוש השם . Would you have given in , it would have been encouraging others to do the same type of forgeries with the חשבון to make the husband a similar farce, and then get a coerced גט מעושה etc.etc etc
ReplyDeleteכי לא על המלך לבדו עותה ושתי המלכה כי על כל השרים ועל כל העמים
On RR-FB you call yourself James Harper ?!
ReplyDeleteWe did look at RR-FB, we didn't see any dayanim there. I already told you post the evidence, give us a direct link or sent it to Daas Today's email..
ReplyDeleteCertainly Rivky & her ppl played games! and certainly not Yoily!
ReplyDeleteDaas Torah, I am not taking sides, just reading the info, but you are so nasty to some of these posters....why the nasty attitude??? does that come along with ur long white beard and your
ReplyDeletename using the word "torah"???
the only things these recordings prove is what an arrogant bully this guy is... Sickening.
ReplyDeleteWhere was rabbi Goodman? Where was rabbi Abeles? I heard from someone who was there and received conflicting answers.
ReplyDelete1) "They're stuck in traffic" (That was Reuvein Blau's -the Daily News reporter - answer.)
2) "They signed documents... It was just a tactic" (That was a "replacement" rabbi's answer.)
Only the third was supposedly sitting shiva.
Rivky should have let Yoeli know to reschedule the beis din, considering that using all three original dayanim was the fundamental condition of going to this beis din.
ReplyDeletePerhaps he is heartbroken to have finally been proven to him that Rivky was using a fake beis din.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I missed the part where she wasn't living in a country where lawsuits and custody disputes were settled by an unbiased secular court.
ReplyDeleteWhy does it make sense to allow her to use a civil divorce as a upper-hand leverage in a legal matter.
Why don't judges grant civil divorces prior to deciding custody and all other arraignments? Why aren't you bothered by this?
If you are seeking the truth and the facts why wouldn't a jury be an appropriate means to discovering that truth?
Yep. Especially the reporter who got bounced out of the New York Post. His recordings clearly identify what he believes. When is the Daily Snooze going to bounce him?
ReplyDeletethe only things these recordings prove is what an arrogant bully this guy is... Sickening.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely sickening what a arrogant bully Reuvein Blau is. Absolutely sickening what arrogant bullies these beit din imitators are.... Sickening.
Jewish Law prohibits any Jew from suing another Jew in secular court for money or custody. If she disregards halacha when it suits her, she should not expect any halachic right to receive a Get.
ReplyDeleteHalacha prohibits using secular courts.
ReplyDeleteThose three specific rabbis did not show up. And his point was to demonstrate that they do not exist.
ReplyDeleteMr. Weiss, out of his own free will, declared:
ReplyDelete1) that he would be present at the date, time, place, he decided
2) that he would give a get if Mrs. stein and the Beith Din was also there.
3) that he would serve refreshments
I suspect that he felt sure neither Mrs. Stein, nor the Beith Din would be present. Once he heard they would be present, his bluff was called.
Therefore, he badly damaged his credibility by reneging on his promise.
In this context, he twice showed his disrespect for rabbinical institutions. Once when he summoned the beith din, whereas the normal procedure is for the beith din to summon the parties... But batey din are so ready to dance around a recalcitrant husband, that they obliged and even sent him a convocation for the time and place he requested. The second time, Mr. Weiss showed his contempt for the beith din by not showing up.
I am quite surprised that the blog author still keeps the counter since the fake get offer up.
I am also surprised that the promise that the blog author himself made public and to some extent vouched for was broken, and it makes no dent in the steadfast support of the blog author for Mr. Weiss.
But it is obvious that the blog author would rather change subject after this public lie on this blog.
Since those three specific rabbis did not show up, his condition was not met, and he therefore was not agreeing to give a Get. He only agreed to show up in the presence of those specific three rabbis.
ReplyDeleteThe halacha says that a promise should be kept.
ReplyDeleteMr. Weiss declared he would appear and give a get. He did not even appear. So he publicly showed himself as a husband who tries to control everyone around him and who is ready to play games.
This round goes to Rivky. Rivky showed her good faith. Yoel Weiss showed his dishonesty.
Dear blog author, I can read english. Yoel Weiss did NOT make his showing up conditionla on having the 3 original judges. He said he would show up regardless. He made his GIVING A GET conditional on the original beith din showing up.
ReplyDeletethis clearly is not the same thing.
By the way: Do you really think a true, frum jew would summon a Beith Din rather than wait for the Beith Din to summon him? This should show you already that Mr. Weiss is not a true, frum jew. But that he made a beith Din wait in a place and time he convened, should confirm to you that Mr. Weiss is not a true, frum jew.
if he was willing to give a get - why does he need to be such a control freak and have Dafka those 3 dayanim? If he was sincere he would have given her a get with whoever showed up.
ReplyDeleteIt just seems ludicrous that if she's such a crazy-woman like he says, why wouldnt he just divorce her and be done with her? Why keep this up?
so why didnt he call her bluff and show up!? without Rabbonim being there, he would have proven his point beyond doubt. like this its all just rubbish.
ReplyDeleteRabbi Eidensohn: There seems to be confusion about one issue here, and I would specifically like to understand your opinion with regard to it. Yoeli had said that he would give the get if those three dayanim came. It appears that some are claiming that as far as we know, none of the dayanim were there, and she brought a few random Rabbis in their place. Others seem to be saying that two out of the three were there, and the third is sitting shiva in Eretz Yisrael. If the first is the truth, it is very understandable why Yoeli did not give the get. If it is the second, then I think all would agree that refusing to carry out his promise to give a get would be engaging in gross literalism as to the fulfillment of his condition. Please answer: 1: Were there in fact two out of three dayanim there, with the third being replaced, as he is sitting shiva? 2: If this was the case, do you think he would still be justified in not giving the get?
ReplyDelete1.he said he would show up and only give the get if the bd was there. i took that to mean he would be there no matter what (and check their id) staying away and asking for rabbis before he showed up is cowardly.
ReplyDelete2. Two out of three should be enough.
He should have showed up, confirmed the 2 , and if they were legit, made a date for the get when third came around. He played this and is not acting yashar.
A post of this nature underlines the level of mistake that Rav Eidenson has made in his blind support of Yoel Weiss. The Ravs effort in upholding Daas Torah and exposing the wrongs within orthodox society is unrivalled. I do not believe that this blog has an ulterior motive other than justice in line with halacha and I have to commend the Rav for becoming an integral part of global halachik debate. However, in this instance he has been duped. There was a u-turn in support for Avrohom Meir Weiss late on in their get proceedings and an admission by Rav Eidenson that he had made mistakes in his initial support of Gital Dodelson. I expect the equivalent to happen here. I have no interest in the mud slinging, however your association and unequivocal support for someone so tarnished is a threat to the rest of your outstanding work. Listen to the audio clips and question whether this is the kind of person that warrants your support? Whether or not a chilul hashem has occurred by your halachik criteria - this episode is another string in the bow for the many who are looking to cast aspersions upon our religion. Yoel had the opportunity to reward your support by acting like a mensch. I urge you to take a more pragmatic approach and use your influence to resolve the situation rather than perpetuate it.
ReplyDelete"Once he heard they would be present" - You and the rest of Rivky's cult groupies are living in a fantasyland.
ReplyDeleteThere is no evidence that Rivky's so-called Beit Din ever existed. This so-called Beit Din was never heard of before Rivky's thug-for-hire rabbi fabricated her fake "seruv". I have not seen the slightest evidence that any of the so-called "Beit Din" rabbis actually exist, let alone that they actually appeared yesterday. A well known sofer apparently showed up and a few witnesses yesterday.
Rivky Stein, the latest fake "agunah", has morphed herself into the latest feminist goddess, icon, and cult figure, in both the Jewish and non-Jewish media. Her cult followers blindly accept her as incapable of error or fraud, and always the victim of her allegedly evil husband. Her ignorant, ranting cult followers never demand that she comply with valid Torah divorce procedures, such as utilizing a valid, kosher Beit Din to litigate her divorce case. Whatever the cult goddess Rivky decides becomes Torah law by her groupies.
ReplyDeleteThe pathetic ignorance of Jewish law and ethics, utter lack of intellectual honesty, and pit bull viciousness in Rivky's brainwashed cult groupies is astounding.
Rivky's lynch-mob cult groupies on the RedeemRivky Facebook page are living in a fantasy land. Most of the ignoramuses on that site, except for a
few honest individuals, are badly in need of a cult de-programmer.
I am not demonstrating any degree of anger. Listen, I was basically on Yoel's side after reading the court papers etc.. but here she shows up with what seems to be the Bais Din even with one Rav sitting shiva and he doesn't show up. This was his big chance to actually prove she is a liar! He could have shown up with a video camera available and shook the hands of these Rabbis while having them clearly identify themselves as other Rabbanim that were not in the seruv. Someone is giving Yoel bad advice here because he looks like a liar and a stickler instead of the supposed victim that he claims to be.
ReplyDeleteShe is using the custody in the same sickening way. Once she has a get she can disappear with the kids forever. Why is that okay? I have friends who went through a pretty disgusting divorce on a smaller scale and learned that even what you believe is obvious is not what you think it is. Smear campaigns can convince anyone anything.
ReplyDeleteSeems like none were there but even if one was missing the event should have been rescheduled t o when all three were available to attend simultaneously to fulfil the fundamental condition that all three originals be there. Instead they tried to p l aye a game on him to get him there without telling him the originals werent there.
ReplyDeleteThe Beth Din wasn't there yesterday.
ReplyDeleteHe made the point of proving the so-called beit din was fraudulent and non-existent.
ReplyDeleteOnce these heretofore previously unknown unheard of "dayanim" are pictured and identified , we can ask them how they could possibly have issued a "psak halacha" without ever having heard the testimony of the husband, in complete contravention of basic halacha.
ReplyDelete@Mevakesh - she had the burden of proof that these were the original judges. He has provided no evidence at all that they were. Why are you demanding that Yoel prove they were not the judges?
ReplyDelete@Mevakesh I agree with you here - Yoel could have handled the situation much better - but she still failed to show that she produced the beis din. As the recordings show, Yoel was in fact ready to give a get if she simply produced them and demonstrated their identity and competence.
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago Rivky's brother ent me an email stating that the beis din was real. When I responded that I would like their phone numbers to speak to them - I never heard from him again. Makes you think!
ReplyDeleteI am not asking you to post it. However, do you have any comment in relation to my post that you will not publish?
ReplyDelete@Hendon you are making claims which are simply untrue or grossly mistated. The major issue here is not halacha but dealing with a well greased professional pr operation.
ReplyDeleteAny normal person who was desparate for a get would have responded imediately to the offer of get. /Arrange proof of identity for the dayanim as well as their competence. Rifky has done none of those things. The burden of proof is on her whether she fulfilled the conditions Yoel set. Please show me the pictures of the original dayanim with Rifky and clear proof that validates their identity!
Sorry but you are focusing more on the show the the substance. My support has not changed for Yoel.
Yoel Weiss stated that he would come. And he did not show up. There was no condition on his coming, only on his giving a get. Read the text again, it's here in the comments.
ReplyDelete@Robin - why do you think that comment has any significance? Do you think it is true or you believe whatever you read there?
ReplyDeleteI am just pointing out that in a very public way, he did not stand by his word. No-one forced him to make this public offer. He made it out of his own free will, and could not even stand by his own, very arbitrary offer.
ReplyDeleteIn my eyes, he has no credibility, and the claim that he is playing games gained in credibility through this action. In other words: this round goes to rivky, and he would have been better advised not playing this game right from the start.
"Who determines that the husband is a rotten animal?" The husband, by behaving like a rotten animal...
ReplyDeleteNo, he promised to show up without condition. The conditions pertained to giving a get, not to showing up.
ReplyDeleteHow could she demonstrate anything, if he was not even there?
ReplyDeleteThe time has arrived for Yoel to get his Heter Meah Rabbonim, as he said he would do if the original three fail to show up.
ReplyDeleteHendon: You are factually incorrect. Rav Eidensohn and this Daas Torah site never supported Gital Dodelson and her, similar to Rivky Stein, fake aguna public campaign using goyish tabloids and secular courts. The support for Avrohom Meir Weiss here was right from the get-go and it was rightfully unwavering.
ReplyDeleteStein should have told him in advance she couldn't get the original three so she could reschedule it. He offered her any date of her choosing right from the get-go.
ReplyDeleteYoel Weiss stated he would only come if the original three beit din came. They didn't come. So, therefore, as he stated he would not participate without them.
ReplyDeleteThis comment is misplaced. Rivky and her husband were married according to halacha only, not NY State. No civil marriage means no civil divorce.
ReplyDeleteSince the original beit din never existed, he has no obligation to give a Get as no real Beis Din ever ordered him to give a Get. And a husband doesn't have to give a Get without a beis din demand.
ReplyDeleteI just thought it might interest you (that's why I put the reference). It was not intended for publication.
ReplyDeleteIt is important to point out that Yoel publicly gave Rivky the right to choose any date she wanted to receive the Get with her beit din. Rivky never responded to this offer or contacted him altogether. Instead, she is now admitting the three original "dayanim" were not available yesterday and, yet, instead of choosing another date as Yoel offered her, she instead tried to bamboozle Yoel into coming to a newfangled beit din that was not the original three -- even though she knew very very clearly long in advance of yesterday that the Get was strictly conditioned on it being the exact original three.
ReplyDeleteSince she admits she knew in advance that was unavailable yesterday she should have rescheduled with Yoel as he offered right from the get-go. Instead she tried to pull a fast one on him.
As far as the well-known sofer attending yesterday, anyone can hire a sofer as long as they pay him and he will come to write whatever document a sofer can write. His coming does not in any way, shape of form mean that he supports anyone or any thing or movement or cause. It only means he was hired to do a job so he came to do what he was paid for. He doesn't need to know all the background details or even if there is any background details. And there is nothing wrong with that. Obviously the non-Orthodox, non-frum woman, Shira Dicker hired a well-known sofer in order to give the false impression that he somehow supports this cause of hers.
You know Moe .. the more one repeats lies does not make it true. You keep saying the Bait din was not there does not make that actual truth. But there was one way Yoel could have determined the truth. IF HE SHOWED UP. The only clear liar right now is Yoel.
ReplyDelete@Robin - not every thought that pops into your head has value and surely it doesn't warrant publicizing on a blog - especially without any supportive evidence.
ReplyDeleteSo your suspicions are more like projection of your own feelings. Did you ever speak to Yoel? Have you ever been to therapy dealing with your negative feelings about others
Comments based on this type of "evidence" are more appropriate for the blog you cited in your previous post.
Yes, sometimes questions expose a person's beliefs.
ReplyDeleteA wife who leaves their husband is considered a moredes by all poskim and not fantasy bais din can change that. I haven't seen any claim that it wasn't Rivky who left the marriage and that it was Yoily who left. If yes, please show me evidence of that.
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I do not think I made any claims at all - let alone anything that can be considered untrue or misstated. Put aside the wrongful actions of the wife momentarily. I have listened to the recordings of Yoel on the Redeem Rivky website. How can you support someone who speaks in this manner? A more rounded approach is needed - where you highlight the wrongs of both sides rather than the blinkered approach to date. Even with our own children - we are not blind to their indiscretions. It is out of love and hope for their advancement that we discipline them. Please try and re-evaluate your approach - for the sake of your on going reputation. Thank you for your time and good shabbos.
ReplyDeleteAfter hearing the audio posted yesterday & watching the numerous home videos showing Yoily & Rivky living very happily together I'm totally convinced that Rivky was hijacked by a few feminazi's to ruin a beautiful marriage. Most of the people who support her is because of their own tavos and interests. And all the future woman that will fall into the hands of these feminazis will be on the head of the supporters of Rivky.
ReplyDeleteWhile they all are doing maase zimri (bmachshovah for sure) they want schar like pinchas for so called saving Rivky from being an agunah. When in fact she is not an agunah and she is being maagin him until he gets a heter maoh rabbonim. The fact is the marriage would have likely never fallen apart if not for these feminazis supporting her to ruin the marriage.
@Robin why are you so obsessed with the fact that he didn't show up but called first to find out if the dayanim were there. Why is that so much more egregious than a woman who creates a fake beis din. Publicizes that her husband had been put into cherem and is required by this beis din to give a Get - without the slightest evidence of the claim being credible.
ReplyDeleteWhy can she slander him and make a $480 million RICO claim against him and his family - without any evidence and drag this case through all the news media - without producing any evidence.
All of that disgusting behavior doesn't get your attention because you are so outraged by the horrible crime of not showing up when he knew that the beis din wasn't there !?
I hate to think of your reacction if you caught him not saying thank you or slurping his soup?
She could have said that the "beit din" arrived instead of claiming they're stuck in traffic or that they're not coming.
ReplyDelete1) I believe her claims of spousal rape, especially since it is confirmed by Mr. Weiss himself in an audio.
ReplyDelete2) I think she will have a hard time proving the sequester claims, so I tend to believe they will be thrown out.
3) I believe that no wife should be forced to stay with a husband who is ready to rape her or to deprive her of freedom of movement.
4) I believe no-one should mock a woman who says she was raped and deprived of liberty by her husband, unless proof of the contrary has been brought. As long as it is he says-she says, the potential/alleged victim should be treated with respect.
5) I do not believe that Mr. Yoel Weiss is an upright person, as proven by himself when stating in court that he cheated on his income when he took out an insurance policy.
6) The fact that he did not show up - contrary to his public promise - confirms this impression.
7) Mr. Weiss' reaction when he heard that Rabbi Taub was sitting shiva (as displayed in the audio on this blog) also proved that he lacked one basic caracter trait every jew should have: rachamim.
8) I believe that two dayanim of the original beith din were present - as stated by Mrs. Stein. I believe that the third dayan was sitting shiva. Those a circumstances I would classify as "force majeure". Therefore, Mr. Weiss should have gone to the location, as he promised, verified the identities of the two first dayanim and than found a constructive solution (either give the get right away or reschedule when the shiva is over).
9) No-one forced Mr. Weiss to take this initiative, but overall, it damaged his reputation.
10) Please stop making the false claim that Rivky did not respond for 21 days. She did respond, she was present at the meeting date, time and location Yoel Weiss set (a person was waiting at the 77 location, just in case, but Mr. Weiss did NOT show up there either).
This comment is misplaced.
ReplyDeleteNo, it isn't. How can you demand a get at a time when a civil divorce would never be granted. Making a big hoopla prior to the court proceedings are complete, is entirely illogical. If a civil divorce wouldn't be granted at this time, why make a huge public issue about a get, at this time.
There's something else going on with this campaign - and it stinks.
@hendon supporter - I think the problem is that you are willing to accept at face value snippets of statements taken out of context and belived what she say it means.
ReplyDeleteIf you look at the oveall pciture- at her outrageous claims which have no evidence to suport them. The fake beis din that she used. Ithink your problem is that you never dealt with really problematic people and can't wrap your head around intelligent nice people making these claims if they weren't true.
I would suggest that it is you who needs to reevaluate your approach to the darker side of man - or perhaps you would be better off not knowing the filfth and disgusting people do.
How could she have proved it to him? I really wish that someone could sit with the two of them and just settle all of their issues and this will all be over with. I think the two of them are getting horrible advise on how to handle things and the only people that will suffer are their children and that is such a shame.
ReplyDeleteTrue, she should have had some way of showing that these were indeed the correct Rabbanim... but if they are not, who are they? This charade is getting ridiculous! I think he has just as much a burden of proof that she does if he wants to keep his credibility.
ReplyDeleteAhh.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you may be projecting your behavior upon others. Are you?
He had someone who showed up and they told him he wasn't there. Why does he have to be there? Is it so Ms. Stein and Ms. dicker can make a spectacle and have her "cry" about her abuse? She knew she lied.
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly. What I meant to say was that if ANY of the dayanim were there, the reporter would have emphasized that. Instead he focused on Yoeli being controlling by asking the kangaroo court to show up. This is more proof that none of them were there at all.
ReplyDeleteif she was willing to accept a get - why does she need to be such a control freak and have Dafka those 3 dayanim not show up? If she was sincere she would have accepted her get with whoever he asked to show up - especially the "dayonim" who excommunicated him, so that they can remove their excommunication.
ReplyDeleteYou are right, he said he would come verify their identities. But then he was told by phone that they weren't even there.
ReplyDelete@Robininbis
ReplyDeleteBy the way: Do you really think a true, frum jew would summon an alternate Beith Din rather than wait for the origional and involved Beith Din to come with her? This should show you already that Ms. Stein is not a true, frum jew. But that she made a beith Din wait in a place and time she convened, should confirm to you that Ms Stein is not a true, frum jew.
Hendon: Why is Rivky's PR Team headed by Conservative Jewess Shira Dicker only putting up a select very few seconds of each recording? The calls the recordings came from were much longer. Why is she only putting up a tiny few seconds of each?
ReplyDeleteBecause she cut them completely out of context to make it appear that he is intending to say something that he never intended to say. If you heard the conversation a few minutes before and a few minutes after the recordings, you would realize he was saying something else completely.
@ robin the audio does not say what you are saying. He stated, "she says I raped her" - did he belive it ? what was the context of thestatement? Who was he speaking to. Was he saying that she said it out of pain and anger or with a smile. THERE IS NO CONTEXT. PLEASE PROVIDE THE WHOLE TAPE SO WE CAN LISTEN TO WHAT WAS GOING ON!
ReplyDeleteThe rest of your comment sound like a religous creed of what you believe. There really is no evidence to support these claims - you prefer to believe them - I prefer not to believe them.
Bottom line - conrary to your wishful thinking - there is no evidence that the orignail dayanim exist or that they showed up or that one is sitting shiva.
10) She did not respond by saying that she was bringing the original beis din, that they would prove competent. She did show up - but Yoel wasn't making a date to see her. Shee did not comply with his request.
I'm ignorant when it comes to Jewish divorce law. Did Yoeli need to have the three original judges there to lift the excommunication order or could there have been substitutes? Also, could substitutes judges have overseen the get procedure? For sure, she didn't meet his demands, which is very suspicious. If one of the judges couldn't make it, she could have easily rescheduled. It seems like her advisors have a personal vendetta against Orthodox Jewry. It's so disgusting!
ReplyDeleteThis message is directed to Rivky Stein's fanatical, misguided supporters and groupies. Rivky is NOT a real "agunah". But your fanatical, indiscriminate support for her anti-halachic divorce actions is a major factor in chaining Rivky as a fake, self-made "agunah".
ReplyDeleteAnyone who truly cares about Rivky Stein and who seeks to help her obtain a kosher GET should urge Rivky to immediately:
1. Fire her gangster "rabbi" who has lead her down the path of self-destruction.
2. Withdraw the fake "seruv" against her husband.
3. Fire ORA and any other corrupt feminist "agunot" groups Rivky is using. These groups wage war on Jewish husbands and prevent women from obtaining a kosher GET.
4. Find an honest, learned, non-feminist rabbinic advisor (not a corrupt toen) with experience in GITTIN matters.
5. Cease and desist from litigating in any non-Jewish courts. This is a severe violation of halacha and prevents any settlement leading to a kosher GET.
6. Cease and desist from any PR campaigns, web sites, protests, and harassment against her husband.
7. Submit her divorce matters to an authentic, respectable Beis Din.
Robin:
ReplyDelete1) I do noy believe her claims of spousal rape, and he never admitted any such thing. Considering she has been proven in court to have lied many previous times, including when falsely getting him arrested and filing false protection orders against him, her word is as good as Pinocchio's.
2) She will have a hard time proving any of her claims and many already were thrown out.
3) He has not done the things she accuses him of without proof.
4) No one should be mocked from anyone. But her falsehoods must be exposed.
5) I do believe that he is an upright person, and he never said or did cheat on his income taxes. You're also conveniently forgetting that Rivky too overstated her income for her insurance policy.
6) He only agreed to show up if her original beis din of three showed up. They didn't and therefore he needn't have and didn't.
7) Mr. Weiss' reaction when he heard that Rabbi Taub was sitting shiva (as displayed in the audio on this blog) also proved that has the basic character trait every Jew should have: Rachamim. He asked for the phone number of the Rabbi so he could wish him condolences. Why was it refused to give him this?
8) The two dayanim of the original beith din were not present. And if the other was not available for any reason, Rivky should have let him know in advance so it could be rescheduled instead of her demanding he come yesterday for no reason.
9) No-one forced Mr. Weiss to take this initiative, yet he did out of his own volition and, still, Rivky blew it.
10) Rivky did not respond for 21 days. She did not resschedule yesterday even though she knew the dayan was supposedly unavailable yesterday.
reread what he said. He said he would come regardless. It's copied in this thread.
ReplyDeleteHe said he would appear there if the same three dayanim were there. They were not there.
ReplyDeleteI reread it. He said he would appear before her beis din. Since her cohorts admitted before he came that her dayan would not be there, he had nothing to show up for, per his originally stated condition.
ReplyDeleteSee 'Failed Messia' blog for another version of the "real story".
ReplyDeleteBoth versions are strange. But whos telling the truth?
Do you realize that we are just trusting people's words here? Where is evidence that these were not 2 out of the three Rabbanim? If the Beis Din is indeed fictitious maybe a group of well known Rabbanim should sign a kol koreh stating as such? She should produce evidence that the third Rav was sitting shiva. He should produce proof that she did not notify him of such a change. There is a woman Miriam Orbach on the facebook page the claims Yoel told her via facebook message at 10:30AM that he would be there at 12 noon. Why did he lie to her?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are so stupid its breathtaking!!! There was a fraudulent criminal illegal siruv and cherem placed on him from rabbis that either do not exist or if they do exist, criminally and fraudulently put him in cherem. He is well within his rights to say that he will not give her a get until she produces them (which she obv cant) and gets his good name back!!!\
ReplyDeleteApparently your stubborness is because you are Shira Dicker or one of her cronies. He made that offer to expose that her "bais din" is made up and false. to expose her, and you shira dicker, as idiots who care not one iota about the torah
ReplyDeleteI think what you say makes sense, but that, unfortunately, was not the point of this meeting. It is my understanding that she has smeared his name by spreading claims made by this particular bais din and his point was to prove that there never was such a bais din (and clear his name from their accusations).
ReplyDeleteIf he went ahead and signed anyway, he never would have been able to prove that point. The past smear would have stood valid and she would have her get. Unfortunately, his no-show seems to be distracting everyone from the point he was making. That there never was such a bais din and that he never ignored their original call nor was he a candidate for cherem.
Tell me who they are if they aren't those Rabbanim.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who listens to the recording has to admit that the 3 rabbis who fraudulently put him into cherem were not there. And clearly they were never going to be there. And she knew that she was going to have egg on her face and so her decision was to show up with 3 other rabbis and totally gloss over the fact that it is now abundantly clear that she is a liar and a fraud, being guided and advised by liars and frauds. If I was him I would sue her in BD, and if she shows up hold her feet to the fire of truth that the seruv was a sham. And if she doesnt show up put HER in cherem!
ReplyDeleteDr Eidensohn - I have never been comfortable with your approach to Gittin. However after reading this last article, I am forced to express my thoughts. The only understanding I have, for how you can spew such illogical thoughts and somehow pretend that Yoel's actions are justified in this case, is that you must be blinded by a misogynistic hatred of women. No other explanation is possible. To pretend that Yoel is somehow justified in withholding Rivky's get simply because of one the 3 Rabbis did not show is not the thought process that comes from a rational mind. I am almost skeptical of your Psychology credentials, as I cannot believe that an emotionally aware or healthy person could believe that Yoel's actions are justified.
ReplyDeleteWith tremendous frustration,
Disrespectfully,
Eli Goldberg
That's her problem not his.... giving her a get is muttar. Being sued in civil court is muttar. As far as her suing his pants off... let god take care of that.
ReplyDeleteWhen there is a dispute between two parties, one party cannot impose their own chosen beis din upon the other party unwillingly. Both parties must agree to the composition of the beis din. Since the husband never agreed to any beis din yesterday other than the three originals, she could not impose a new dayan without his consent, which he did not provide. He offered to appear before the precise original composition of the same three. Since they didn't all appear yesterday, she couldn't impose her own new composition with a new dayan. She would have had to obtain his consent for whatever new composition was desired. That didn't happen and thus he was under no mandate to accept the new dayan who showed up yesterday. She should reschedule it with him using the same exact original signers.
ReplyDeleteMr. Goldberg:
ReplyDeleteRabbi Dr. Daniel Eidensohn shlit"a has displayed a lot of courage, knowledge, physiological evaluation and a very large dose of common sense in his handling, explanation and opinions on this unfortunate dispute between Weiss and Stein as well as other previous divorce and family disputes and issues.
Thank you very much Rabbi Dr. Eidensohn.
He only agreed to appear in front of the exact composition of the original three dayanim. And those original three failed to appear yesterday so he couldn't appear in front of them.
ReplyDeleteFailed Messiah is an embittered self-hating anti-Orthodox anti-Semite. His word is as worthwhile as Joseph Goebbels.
ReplyDeleteBeing sued in secular court is not muttar. And he is under no halachic mandate to give her a Get.
ReplyDeleteOnly she can tell you who those pretenders to the throne are.
ReplyDeleteRivky's three dayanim have finally been identified!
ReplyDeleteThey are Moe, Larry and Curly!!
Eli: You need to speak with respect. Barging into a conversation with complete disrespect is no way for you to win anyone over to your argument. We understand you disagree with the halacha as explained by Rabbi Eidensohn.
ReplyDeleteWe understand you prefer a liberal modern 21st Century viewpoint on family matters and view the traditional way with disdain. You are free to express your views of course, as this is a free country, but you ought to do so with respect.
Rabbi Eidensohn espousing the traditional Jewish way and halachic approach is the manner in which traditional Orthodoxy has been following for time immemorial and continues to follow today. Your insinuation, Eli, that the Torah approach is "misogynistic", as you did above, is appalling and reprehensible. The ways of the Torah and the ways of our laws, as Rabbi Eidensohn has long been espousing, is just and perfect.
I warned/advised Yoily that if those 3 Rabbis are not there, that he shouldn't enter the chabad for many reasons mainly that he sho
ReplyDeleteUnless we know who exactly those Rabbanim are, there is no reason to think that they are not who Rivky says that they are. Why does Yoel not know this information if he claims that they are not the right people. This is all a game of he said/she said.. totally a circle! there needs to be hard evidence of what went on yesterday.
ReplyDeletedisgusting sexist
ReplyDeletelying article. this shows everything that is wrong with orthodox society
