Clinton-Trump Election and the Kaminetsky-Greenblatt Heter: Rav Kaminetsky - the Gadol of America - says to vote for Trump

הגרי"ג השיב להם כי ה'מרא דאתרא' של ארה"ב הוא ראש ישיבת פילדלפיה הגאון רבי שמואל קמינצקי, חבר מועצת גדולי התורה דאמריקה וכי עליהם להישמע להוראותיו. 

ואכן, ראש ישיבת פילדלפיה הגר"ש קמינצקי הורה להצביע עבור המועמד הרפובליקני לנשיאות ארצות הברית דונלד טראמפ, כך גם הורה ראש ישיבת לייקווד הגאון רבי ירוחם אולשין. להוראה זו הצטרפו מרבית ראשי עולם התורה בארצות הברית. 

חשוב לציין כי באופן מסורתי החרדים מזוהים תמיד עם המפלגה הרפובליקנית בשל הדגש השמרני שלה, לעומת הרוב היהודי חילוני המזוהה עם הדמוקרטים. עם זאת למפלגה הדמוקרטית בכלל ולהירי קלינטון בפרט קשרים הדוקים מזה שנים ארוכות עם חלק מהחסידויות הגדולות בארצות הברית, כולל חסידות סאטמר. 

עם זאת בחלק מהחצרות החסידיות הורו להצביע עבור המועמדת הדמוקרטית הילרי קלינטון. בשתי החסידויות של סאטמר הכריזו על כך לפני מספר ימים והורו להצביע לקלינטון משום שטראמפ ידידותי מדי לישראל. כך גם הוכרז בחסידויות סקווירא ובחסידויות נוספות. לעומת חסידות חב"ד ברובה שתצביע עבור טראמפ דווקא בשל יחסו החיובי לישראל ובשל ציפייה שיגמול בשחרורו של רובשקין.

    How many Americans learn in Ponovitch? As far as I know, very few.
    Of the American Ponovitch alumni, how many ask Rav Gershon Edelstein who to vote for? Possibly 1, probably none!

    They spread this story without enough time to verify it. Chances are that Rav Edelstein is not in support of spreading this.

    Did Pinny L. send a guy to ask Rav G. Edelstein if he should voting for whom his mora deasra in America is telling to vote for.... and added in that he likes to listen to RSK.

    I'm not up to date on how many Ponovezh yeshivos exist today? Did they heal their rift or they still have a split?
    But this leaves you with a problem if in Bnei Brak they consider RSk as the mara d@atra. Or better, it leaves us all a problem.

    Ordinarily an endorsement by Rabbi Kaminetsky should act as an deterrent and should encourage one to do the exact opposite and to vote for Clinton since Rabbi Kaninetsky's opinion is the opposite of Daas Torah. In this case however, voting for Clinton is so distasteful to me that I think I'll be "Yotzi" by sitting this one out and not vote at all.

    There is widespread Democrat fraud and illegality in voting in this election. For an example, see the latest video from Project Veritas. Published today. Bear in mind that what they show is repeated hundreds of times in Democrat cities throughout the nation.

    Spelling with an ayin ע in the first paragraph כהכרעותיו means badness, wickedness, mischief. Spelling with an aleph א in the second paragraph means instructions.
    I live in Bnei Brak close to Ponivich. I go daily to a daf hayomi at 45 Rabbi Yochana Ben Zachai close by. I’m most upset about Kamenistky’s role in the heter and Kamenistsky’s silence on allowing Tamar to stay with her boyfriend with her husband, Aaron, alive and well and refusing to divorce her. It must be that Kamenitky accepts that the civil divorce Tamar got in בדיעבד enough, yes?

    Oh, I'm a long-time Trump supporter. Hurray Trump won. Americans chose Trump from hatred of Obama and his Left policies.

    Right, sorry. My Babylon dictionary shows הכרעותיו "decision, arbitrament; subjection; tilting the balance." While, כרעותיו means "bad, wrong, ill, lousy, foul, moldy, mouldy, noxious, unkind, verminous, atrocious; evil, wicked, vicious, meany, nefarious, baleful; dangerous, malignant." Interesting.
