Pachad Yitzchak (Emuna): Faith is that which is necessary to believe in order not to be called a heretic.

    I'll bite. Not sure if this is what others have said, but: all he does is give parameters, he doesn't define it. i.e. he specifies (by proxy) what one must be מאמין without explaining what להאמין means.
