Glatech’s Kolatin, the first kosher gelatin, uses animal hide to produce a completely pareve gelatin and relies on a teshuva from Rav Moshe zt”l. (The company and it's owners are in cherem for being lo tzayis dina and not returning investor money. And they are actually misrepresenting teshuvos from various gedolim. The OU couldn't care less and continues to certify)
The Jewish Star is often on target but there are some incorrect statements in their report on KosherFest.
