Trump Denies ‘Series Of Mini-Strokes’ Prompted Surprise Walter Reed Visit

Several journalists noted that nobody had reported on the “mini-strokes” Trump referenced in his tweet. “So the president is denying something that no one has actually reported - that he had a series of mini-strokes,” tweeted New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, who clarified, “At least, no actual reporter has reported.”

Trump’s Claim He Didn’t Have a Stroke Would Be More Convincing If He Didn’t Constantly Lie About Everything All the Time

 https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2020/09/donald-trump-stroke-lies

Remember, last November, when Trump made an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed hospital in Maryland to supposedly take advantage of a “free weekend” to have part of his physical performed, even though it had been less than a year since his last one, he was free the weekend before and the one after, the visit didn’t follow protocols for a routine presidential medical exam, he never went back for the rest of the exam, and no report was released after the visit, as has been traditionally been the case? At the time, the White House claimed the trip was much ado about nothing, and that the hack liberal media was back on its usual FAKE NEWS bullshit. Eventually, the story died down, and attentions turned to the president’s penchant for witness tampering, his fake war on Thanksgiving, and his decision to go full anti-Semite in a room full of Jewish people.

Trump goes after Drudge over rumors of ‘mini-strokes’

 https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/01/trump-health-mini-strokes-406953

President Donald Trump and his campaign on Tuesday accused the political commentators Matt Drudge and Joe Lockhart of spreading rumors that Trump had gone to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to treat a “series of mini-strokes.”

The targeted attacks come after Trump had vaguely tweeted that an ambiguous “they” were making the claim earlier in the day.

President Trump Sides With Police in Kenosha After Jacob Blake Shooting, Calling Violence ‘Domestic Terror’

 https://time.com/5885483/trump-kenosha-domestic-terror/

President Donald Trump stood at the epicenter of the latest eruption over racial injustice Tuesday and came down squarely on the side of law enforcement, blaming “domestic terror” for the violence in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and making no nod to the underlying cause of anger and protests — the shooting of yet another Black man by police.

Trump declared the violence “anti-American.” He did not mention Jacob Blake, who was left paralyzed after being shot in the back seven times by an officer last week in Kenosha.

Biden hit back, speaking to donors on a fundraising call after Trump left Kenosha.

“Donald Trump has failed to protect America. So now he’s trying to scare the hell out of America,” Biden said. “Violence isn’t a problem in Donald Trump’s eyes. It’s a political strategy.”

Pence says 'I don't recall' being put on 'standby' over Trump health concerns

Trump denies suffering 'series of mini-strokes,' doctor says he 'remains healthy'

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump-denies-stroke-michael-schmidt-book-walter-reed

Dr. Sean Conley, Trump's physician, said on Tuesday that the president "remains healthy" and will "remain fit to execute the duties of the Presidency."

"I can confirm that President Trump has not experienced nor been evaluated for a cerebrovascular accident (stroke), transient ischemic attack (mini stroke), or any acute cardiovascular emergencies, as have been incorrectly reported in the media," Conley said in a statement.

CNN reported this week that New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt in his forthcoming book claims Vice President Mike Pence was "on standby to take over the powers of the presidency temporarily if Trump had to undergo a procedure that would have required him to be anesthetized."

The CNN story did not reference any reports about Trump having a stroke, but author Don Winslow claimed Trump had "mini-strokes" in August.

Jacob Blake: Trump brands Kenosha mayor 'a fool' as he heads to city

 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53989076

US President Donald Trump has branded the Democratic mayor of Kenosha "a fool", accusing him of standing up for "radical anarchists".

Speaking en route to the city, Mr Trump said Kenosha would have been burnt to the ground by protesters were it not for the National Guard he deployed.

The Wisconsin city saw days of violence after Jacob Blake, a black man, was shot in the back by police.

Local leaders have asked the president to stay away.

But Mr Trump has ignored their pleas as he pushed a strong "law and order" message ahead of November's election.

Although Mr Trump claimed he sent the National Guard into Kenosha, they were actually deployed by Wisconsin's governor.

Trump Compares Police Violence to Golfing Under Pressure in Fox News Interview

 https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/09/trump-laura-ingraham-fox-news-interview-golf-biden.html

On Monday, Fox News aired an interview with President Donald Trump given from the friendly confines of host Laura Ingraham’s show, The Ingraham Angle. There is virtually nothing that this president can say anymore that is surprising, so, on Monday, Trump continued with more of the same—a slurry of lies, conspiracy, and ever-so-slightly coded race-baiting, each half-thought and incomplete sentence coursing with violence. In Trump’s brain, Biden is controlled by “people that are in the dark shadows,” there was apparently a plane “loaded with thugs wearing these dark uniforms” on its way to Washington, and “discriminatory” and “Marxist” Black Lives Matter is bent on “revolution.” What was clear throughout the White House interview: There is no shade of darkness that is inaccessible to Trump’s dark mind. Now, two months before the president’s political life may be over, Trump, with the help of Fox News, has taken the guard rails off.

Trump compares police who use force to golfers who 'choke'

Trump, in an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham, argued that police are in a difficult position because they are forced to make snap decisions, often when their life may be in jeopardy. But his golf analogy prompted Ingraham to interject.

"They choke. Just like in a golf tournament, they miss a three-foot putt," Trump said.

"You're not comparing it to golf," Ingraham chimed in, suggesting the media might jump on the comparison.

"I'm saying people choke. People choke. And people are bad people. You have both. You have some bad people, and they choke," Trump added. "You could be a police officer for 15 years and all of a sudden you're confronted. You've got a quarter of a second to make a decision. If you don't make the decision, and you're wrong, you're dead. People choke under those circumstances, and they make a bad decision."

Trump tells Ingraham some officers 'choke' during shootings, saying 'They miss a 3-foot putt'

 https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/09/01/trump-missed-putt-analogy-keosha/3454010001/

While discussing the shooting of Jacob Blake with Fox News ahead of his visit to Kenosha, Wisconsin, President Donald Trump said some police officers who shoot unarmed suspects "choke," as if missing a 3-foot putt in golf, a comment that drew social media criticism and mockery.
