Canada was set to hold an election this year that was going to be a referendum on the unpopular Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Now it’s all about President Trump.
I really wonder if Trump miscalculated with this one. He expected an unpopular and weak government to knuckle under. Instead, the government which should've just cooperated with him decided they would stand up to him and make it a patriotic issue. Yes, it'll destroy our economy but it'll win them the next election and they care only about that.
