"It is in fact impossible for me to agree with his halachic conclusion because in many matters he disagrees with the rulings of the Chazon Ish. However all those who study the material in this sefer will find great treasure"
you have to step inside the shoes of the other guy - Despite all the claims of sensitivty of gedolim, you perhaps don't realise how insulting and hurtful the loshon used by Rabbis is to secular or not yet "frum" people. in the meeting between the CI and BG, for example, the CI gave an example of 2 workhorses meeting at a narrow point, and the one with the "empty load" has to give way to the one with the heavy burden. That is very insulting, even if you conisder the concept to be true, the delivery is not a good one. Once, R' Norman Lamm spoke about learners leaving the "cave". He used the moshul of Rashbi, who lived in a cave for many years. the hareidim were insulted, as they felt they were being called "cavemen". Lamm was mega blasted for this, called a "Sonneh Hashem".
So all the Chareidim who learn in Yeshiva, are fully aware of evolution and cavemen, but know nothing about the legend of rav Shimon bar Yochai? That is irony, since the CI was speaking of those who carry a "full load".
very good, mazeltov
ReplyDeleteMajor poskim have disagreed with the CI, . I don't know if bnei brak is exclusively CI in halacha? In Jerusalem they are not.
ReplyDeleteIt's the usual - they follow him religiously when he's strict and his competitors when he's not.
ReplyDeletewhen he's strict on bein adam l'chaveiro, meaning do not oppress your fellow man, they reject him.
ReplyDeleteevidence? or we need to rely on your imagination?
ReplyDeleteBehaviour towards seculars, is not how the CI said it. "worse than nazis " is the current view.
ReplyDeletethat is your best evidence?!
