In my many meetings with secular Israelis, I have recently encountered numerous manifestations of fear of ultra-Orthodox Jews. More precisely, their fear for the future because of the very existence of the Haredim. The fear is expressed across a broad spectrum: from sharp criticism and show of contempt, to latent hatred and pure, unadulterated panic that is anything but hidden.
Haaretz is an anti-semitic paper, which backs the Palestinians and wishes to destroy Israel, or make it too weak to defend itself. They have been backing PLO/hamas for many years. recently, they discovered that Nk and satmar have a simialr ideology to them, so they are now playing the hareidi card, thinking that all chareidim share their nefarious goals.
ReplyDeleteThis is a total lie. His "many meetings with secular Israelis" are his uber-liberal, Torah hating buddies who inhabit the same ivory silo as him. Like any good liberal, he assumes everyone normal thinks like he does so if he hates Chareidim, everyone hates Chareidim. That's why they had to make Autonomies. After Shtisel, there was more interest in Judaism and Chareidim were seen as human beings and we can't have that!
