These studies are obviously incomplete and too distorted by selection bias. (Very little testing has been done in children). These studies are mostly assumption, presumption, and inferences being drawn from limited available data.
But there were outbreaks in multiple schools in Israel immediately after reopening. That is the real-world experiment that gives the lie to all these inferences and assumptions. We need to stop pretending we haven't seen what clearly happened already in other parts of the world. How many times do we need to say "It can't happen here like it did there, we are special" before we learn that lesson??
The latest studies do support reopening schools as children seem to rarely get ill and aren't that contagious to adults.
