Bubba Wallace: Nascar driver's defiant tweet over Trump's 'hate'

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53315148

African-American Nascar driver Bubba Wallace has sent out a tweet condemning words of "hate from the president of the United States".
Wallace is the sole full-time black driver in the US racing organisation and was instrumental in it banning the Confederate flag from races.
A noose was later found in his garage but an FBI inquiry determined "no federal crime was committed".
President Trump called the story a hoax and suggested Wallace should apologise.
Wallace has been a vocal supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, which has come to the fore since the death in police custody of African American George Floyd in Minneapolis in May.

  1. So Wallace tried to turn something innocent into a hate crime at a time when doing so would just inflame the protests and riots happening around the country. But Trump's the bad guy?

  2. no he didn't - how did you reach the conclusion.

I assume you think nooses are commonly used to open garage doors or that finding one should always be assumed to be innocent. Turning to the FBI therefore is "proof" that he was making a false claim. Trump's claim he needed to apologize is based on what? You know that he fabricated the whole thing?!

  3. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/61746405c87f152b30c4692192bac59365102adb66929c2e31446c5d5a6249ab.png That was NOT a noose.
It was indeed a hoax. Here is a picture of the door pull in question, without camera tricks to distort perspective and make it look like something else. It was there for months.
When you are willing to push hoaxes just to get Trump, it damages your credibility badly.

  4. do you have such a handle to open your garage door?
I don't and have never seen one before your picture.
so why should Wallace need to apologize? Did he put the noose there himself?

  5. President Donald Trump misdirected blame when he questioned why NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace had not “apologized to all of those great NASCAR drivers & officials who came to his aid … only to find out that the whole thing was just another HOAX.”

  6. Digging that hole further, eh? That's not a noose. It could barely fit around a mouse's head. Telling people their eyes deceive them and to ignore what the picture shows, is rather distasteful. The hoax remains a hoax.
