Kikar Hashabbat quoted Rabbi Hirsch: "Once the situation was that a woman by nature was subservient to her husband. He was the king at home and she did kindness for him and was also subservient to him, and he would honor her more than [he honored] himself. And that way, if you live that way, over time love and great friendship is built.
"Today the situation is different. Many girls don't have the natural subservience, they're not subservient to their husbands, they don't make him a king in the home, and especially in our communities, where the woman who works and the husband starts to deal with the house a bit, this kind of situation is created.
"Today there's a lack of patience. Once there was patience to wait. Today there's no patience, if there isn't something immediately, there's a fight and there's divorce. In the past 45 years the percentage of divorces in Israel has risen, grown, jumped. If a person knows that there's a way to get out of marriage, he's not willing to try
“Today there's no patience. If it doesn't work they divorce”

“A man takes a wife and possesses her. She fails to please him because he finds something obnoxious about her, and he writes her a bill of divorcement, hands it to her, and sends her away from his house” (Deuteronomy (24:1).
I’m against operating outside the law.
Vigilante = a member of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority, typically because the legal agencies are thought to be inadequate.
ORA and Agunah International and Jerry Nadler and Pelosi operate outside the law.

"But Susan Aranoff, director of Agunah International, which supports Jewish women seeking divorces, said social media has little effect because many husbands still are resistant after "all the bullets have been fired." Rabbi Goldberg said he plans additional measures to pressure Yomin Postelnik, such as rallies near his place of work. He said contemporary Jews are unable to change ancient Jewish laws, but need to find ways to work within the system. I feel strongly that the Jewish community has to stand up for women whose husbands are not doing the right thing," Goldberg said. "We are only talking about a few individuals. How can you turn a blind eye when you hear a story like this? We need to shun him until he cooperates." Yomin Postelnik, 34, who was arrested for domestic battery in 2010 but not prosecuted, said Goldberg has been using "thug tactics," harassing him by calling his employers to tell them about his refusal to sign the get. He said a Jewish judicial body he consulted told him not to sign the paperwork under pressure. Postelnik said he would sign the agreement if his ex-wife went for counseling, but is also interested in getting back together. "I would take her back in a minute," he said.”
Jerry Nadler and Pelosi operate outside the law. See https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/impeach-trump-but-dont-necessarily-try-him-in-the-senate/2019/06/05/22d83672-87bc-11e9-a870-b9c411dc4312_story.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.d07e3a5467f9
“The resolution, expressly and formally proclaiming the president impeachable but declining to play the Senate’s corrupt game, is one that even a president accustomed to treating everything as a victory would be hard-pressed to characterize as a vindication.”
Nadler and Pelosi want the US House of Representatives to do a vigilante guilty verdict on Trump and on the DOJ for considering the Mueller report a victory.
ORA, Agunah International, Nadler and Pelosi are playing a corrupt game. See SCOTUS 18-9390.
Irwin Haut filed August 23, 1991 to open 23213/1991. My good friend for so many years. What was going on? I’m then in Israel. Finally CUNY granted me my PhD June 11, 1991. Oh, today is anniversary that CUNY signed my PhD dissertation: 3 published articles, on June 11, 1991. My case is similar to Nadler-Mueller dispute. Does Nadler have the prerogative to do a vigilante guilty verdict on Trump and the DOJ? Did, Susan, as my wife in 1991, have the prerogative to open a NYS court file against me?
The Torah laws on divorce are beautiful. Thank you, God.
