Germany is among countries which have rejected demands by President Donald Trump for help to stop Iran blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
But Germany, Australia, Luxembourg, and Japan said they have no plans to send vessels to the region. German defense minister Boris Pistorius said Monday, "this is not our war, we have not started it.” The European Union and the U.K. have said they are weighing up a response to open the strait as oil prices continue to spike.
China has also not directly accepted Trump's proposal, with its foreign ministry calling on all parties "to immediately cease military operations." When asked what help was needed, Trump replied, “whatever it takes,” adding that allies should send minesweepers.

Thank you for making sure that as bad as things get with Iran, including their even shutting down the Strait of Hormuz for years, that we don't have to deal with them extorting concessions from us countries around the world by threatening to use a nuclear bomb if their demands are not met."
It's evident to the world that the religious leaders of Iran have no compunction when it comes to destroying their OWN country and bringing death to their OWN people, including themselves, as long as they can achieve their goals to destroy others. And while the implications of that are also evident, still no help to the effort of the war is forthcoming.
President Donald Trump has done y'all a huge favor, nations of the world, but we didn't expect anything like a thank you, and now you go on the record that won't even send a minesweeper.
That's alright. Be that way. The U.S.A. will finish the job with or without you.
