Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spent a large portion of his adolescence in the United States when the country was at the height of its postwar power. The young Bibi graduated in 1967 from Cheltenham High School in suburban Philadelphia (where the students are now trying to remove Netanyahu's picture from the school's alumni hall of fame).
Sure, all of America's warplanes, bombs, missiles ships exist.

America is like Israel in this regard, condemned for whatever they do.
ReplyDeleteEveryone says "Oh America hasn't won a war since 1945" but they ignore that American could've won every war since 1945 but chose not to because the price in terms of loss of life and damage was too high for them to stomach.
They could've ended the Korean War with a nuke over Beijing but they didn't want to go there. They could've won in Viet-nam after wiping up 95% of the population of the North but they didn't want to go there.
And they could win tomorrow by simply bombing Tehran and another dozen major Iranian cities to smithereens but they don't want to do that either. In short, they are too moral to win wars against immoral opponents who don't care how much their own populations suffer. And so people like DT shout "You see! America can't win!"
HaShaagetz is an extreme anti Israel paper, which demonises Israel. It's a secular analogue of neturei karta. It sometimes even supports Hamas.
