Karoline Leavitt’s Response to Trump’s Obama Ape Post Under Scrutiny

Karoline Leavitt’s attempt to depict President Donald Trump’s video showing Barack and Michelle Obama as apes as a “meme”, based on Disney classic ‘The Lion King’, has triggered a deluge of comments on social media criticizing the White House press secretary.

But there are no apes in ‘The Lion King,’ political commentators and social media users were quick to point out—only a mandrill, Rafiki.

Trump has been attacking the Obamas for years in a way that many have described as rooted in racism. Before being elected to his first term, Trump repeatedly spread false claims saying that Hawaii-born Barack Obama was in fact not born in the U.S. and should have been ineligible for president.

  1. There is a difference between complaining about something and doing something about it.
You love to complain about Trump. Lots of Democrats do. So why are the polls still close? People are talking about the Democrats retaking the HoR. Why isn't anyone talking about them wiping out the Republicans in both houses?
Because they have no replacement. They have no unifying figure. They can elect socialists at state and city levels but not at national levels and yet that's what they're pushing forward.
And it's fun to watch because, bottom line, if they put Fetterman and Shapiro or Torres on the 2028 ticket, they'd probably win by a landslide. However, those guys go against what the activist wing of the party, the wing that prefers purity over victory, are looking for.
So don't count Trump out yet. After all, as oidious as this video was, he's still running against people who say that all Whites are racists and that men can get pregnant.
