ReplyDeleteA gezeira cannot be enforced if the majority do not accept it - and the majority of Jews will not any gezeira placed by Orthodox rabbonim.

Depends. If you calculate the majority by only counting the people that will do what you say then yes, the majority do accept it.
ReplyDeleteor a move towards secularism - when people say enough is enough. they don't even settle for MO, with designer sheitls and denim skirts - they become full on chilonim, and eat treif on yom kippur.
