The New York attorney general's investigation into sexual harassment allegations against Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo found that Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women, Attorney General Letitia James announced Tuesday.
The
office found that Cuomo harassed current and former state employees, as
well as a number of women outside of state government, James said, as
the office released a lengthy report on the investigation.
James
said Tuesday that her investigation found that Cuomo engaged in
"unwelcome and nonconsensual touching," and made comments of a
"suggestive" sexual nature. James said that the conduct created a
"hostile work environment for women."
Cuomo's conduct violated multiple federal and state laws, James said.
“Cuomo's conduct violated multiple federal and state laws, James said.” Interesting. Will this lead to a trial in a court of law? I have standing in SCOTUS #'s 20-8096, 20-7892, 20-6525, 18-9390, and 18-7160 and NYS CoA Motion numbers 2021-359, 2021-54, 2020-352, 2019-266, and 2018-840 to challenge Judge Eric I. Prus and Attorney Myla Serlin violating multiple federal and state laws. What are my chances?
ReplyDeleteI notice on the NYS Court of Appeals web site:
“Judge Madeline Singas and Judge Anthony Cannataro Join the Court of Appeals On June 8, 2021, the New York State Senate confirmed Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s nominations of Hon. Madeline Singas and Hon. Anthony Cannataro, and they took the oath of office as Associate Judges of the Court of Appeals.”
Yikes, there are 11 angry women ready to testify against Cuomo. What are Cuomo’s chances? Are these 11 angry women bringing evidence or just stories? Seems courts nowadays, USA and Israel, doesn’t matter evidence or just he-said-she-said stories---guilty unless proven innocent.
Torah thought on this week’s parsha עקב
ReplyDelete“You shall not eat of anything that died a natural death כל נבלה; give it to the stranger in you community לגר אשר בשעריך תתננה, to eat ואכלה; or you may sell it to a foreigner או מכר לנכרי; for you are a people consecrated to the Lord your God כי עם קדש אתה ליקוק אלקיך. You shalt not boil a kid in its mother’s milk לא תבשל גדי בחלב אמו.” (Deuteronomy 14:21).
We would expect that after “You shall not eat of anything that died a natural death כל נבלה” the Torah to immediately say “for you are a people consecrated to the Lord your God כי עם קדש אתה ליקוק אלקיך.” This is the theme of laws of holiness in chapters 14 and 15, e.g. “For you are a people consecrated to the Lord your God כי עם קדש אתה לוקוק אלקיך: the Lord your God chose you among all other peoples earth to be His treasured people.” (Deuteronomy 14:2).

In Deuteronomy 14:21 the Torah gives options what to with the meat that has not been slaughtered properly נבלה: 1) give it to the non-Jew to eat or 2) sell it to the non-Jew. Interesting the Torah talks of giving away or selling non-kosher meat to a non-Jew. My theory. For us to be a holy people to God we eat only kosher meat, of course. Non-kosher meat is not disgusting not unhealthy---no We don’t eat non-kosher meat because God commanded us not to. Non-kosher meat may be perfectly fit for non-Jews for us to give or to sell. Beautiful
The Torah here is not addressing idol worshippers and not enemies that seek our death. Mordecai Kedar has the right idea in https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/311200 “The international community must therefore vigorously support the struggle of the ethnic/national minorities in Iran against the Islamist regime (as well as the struggle of the Persian majority against this regime) and their efforts to dismantle the Iranian state. U.S. President Joe Biden should immediately abandon any intention of returning to the nuclear deal or to lifting sanctions on the regime, and instead invest significant resources—overt and covert, civilian and military—to helping the Iranian minorities free themselves from Persian suffocation.”
Avodah Zarah 67b-68a “And what is R. Simeon's reason? Because it has been taught: Ye shall not eat of anything that dieth of itself [nebelah]; thou mayest give it unto the stranger that is within thy gates whatever is fit for use by a stranger is called nebelah, and whatever is unfit for use by a stranger is not called nebelah [i.e., if it was unfit for consumption because it was so deteriorated, the prohibition departs from it].
I find it pleasant reading in the Torah about normal relations with non-Jews, giving them or selling them nebelah.
More on ראה. Non-Jews that are not idol worshipers and not out to kill us, are allowed to live, work and do business in Israel.

Sapirstein Deuteronomy p. 156 “A non-Jew who accepts upon himself not to worship idols (according to Rashi’s opion; according to the Rambam [Hilchos Avodah Zarah 10:6], one who accepts upon himself to obey all of the seven Noahide commandments) is termed a resident-alien, because such a non-Jew is allowed to take up residence in the Land of Israel.”
Beautiful. I just heard Caroline Glick Episode August 5, 2021 on the overwhelming majority of good people in Iran protesting the evil rulers there. They remember Cyrus the Great. ”In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, when לכלות the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah was fulfilled, the Lord roused העיר the spirit of King Cyrus of Persia to issue a proclamation throughout his realm בכל מלכותו by word of mouth and in writing as follows:” (Ezra 1:1).
